Stayed at the Heworth guest house for 3 nights to visit York for the first time and go to the Christmas markets. I would definitely recommend staying here, the personal touch from Chris & Sue really made our stay here a bonus, and the breakfasts were amazing, which set you up for the day. It costs about £5 in a...

Chris and Sue are a fabulous couple and so lovely and welcoming it honestly felt like visiting friends. They bent over backwards to help us get in after a late arrival from London on the Friday night and had a lovely chat with us over breakfast both days.....in fact on our last day we chatted to them over breakfast for...

After a bad to our break away we decided to book a nights stay! As soon as Chris heard how we had had to return home once as we had the car broken into, he offered us a superior room! Both he and Sue restored our faith in human nature and we will definitely be returning! We can't thank them...

Very clean, modern room with everything you could ask for in a B&B. Friendly hosts who serve a fabulous breakfast with loads of choice. 10-15 min walk into the town center. leave the car by the guesthouse - no parking restrictions but you do need to find a free spot. We didn't use the car over the two days as...

This is our second visit to Heworth, no change; Sue & Chris, professional, friendly, helpful and polite. The breakfasts amazing and will keep you going until tea time! Comfortable rooms and en suites spotlessly clean and tidy. A quiet 10 minute walk into York, close/far away enough to burn off all those excess calories gained during a relaxing break. Free...

Arrived after 6pm for 2 nights greeted with a warm and friendly welcome shown to a lovely family room (Room 1) with a good en suite (no bath but very large shower) room was clean and the beds were gloriously comfortable. Highly recommended if a little pricey but then it appears all of York is as such. Excellent breakfast choice....

If you are looking for a comfortable guest house in a quiet location with friendly owners and a fabulous breakfast then look no further. Throughly enjoyed our family stay. 10 minutes walk from the centre of York, two smallish supermarkets on route for necessities if needed. Recommended
