We spent a weekend in lodge no.2. The location is beautiful and very relaxing. The grounds are lovely, clean and well maintained. The sun shone the whole time so this obviously contributed to our enjoyment. As previously stated there is a tesco and bus stop to York close by but you still feel you are away from it all. The...

Booked this accommodation a week before we stayed as a birthday treat for my husband. The booking was handled quickly and efficiently. We arrived at the lodge to be greeted at the gate by the owner and then got our keys and directions to the lodge from reception. Saw the owner again to ask advice about the local area the...

Firstly the lodges are situated in an excellent location to York, with a very large Tesco within walking distance and the park and ride a 2 minute drive away. However this is the only positive I can think of. Upon arrival the owner greeted us at the gates, with what appeared to be a forced conversation on his behalf. He...

We have just had a 6 night stay here in the Maple Lodge, number 11. We thought the setting and the lake was lovely, very peaceful and pretty. I cannot say the same about our lodge, we were dissappointed. On arrival is smelt very fusty and looked very tired and dated. My daughter washed her bedding on the second day...

I stayed at the lodges for 4 nights with three other colleagues whilst doing a show at the Grand opera house. The lodges were freezing on arrival, the hot water in the guest bathroom was limited with either scolding or freezing water. The wifi was poor in most rooms, except the lounge area. Then at the end of the trip...

As the owner is extremely rude, even if the place was five star with no issues I would still not give this a high review! Manners are free and essential when running a business! This man had none! Nothing nice to say, I'm afraid!

Perfect family February break, clean and tidy lodges with everything you need, very nice touch with fresh flowers, and tea, milk and sugar laid out. Lovely lake which my husband and dad fished, and caught! Excellent base to visit York centre or York race course. Would recommend.

Friendly Welcome on arrival. Lodges are Spacious and Clean if a bit dated. Wireless charged at £5 although shared between lodges and can be patchy. Electricity Charged on Meter when leaving but reasonable. Kitchen fully fitted - Dishwasher, Oven, Washing machine etc. Lake very attractive and walk good. Train passes close to lodges on regular basis but didn't really disturb...

Me and my partner booked Ebor Lodge through Hoseasons for my birthday. When we arrived i was stunned at the beauty of the place. The owner obviously takes great care in the tending of the grounds and lodges. The size of our lodge was perfect for the two of us and the owner even left milk, tea and sugar for...
