Stayed here for two nights, the room (no 6) was tiny but it had everything in it including an iron and hairdryer. Bed was mega comfy and shower powerful. This place is in an ideal spot as it's only a short walk into York. Didn't try the evening meal as it consisted mainly of burgers even though they did look...

Stayed in york for one night, good location just outside the city walls about a fifteen minute walk into the city centre. Comfy bed, spacious room, good shower, friendly staff and great fry up! Would definitely recommend.

This is our go to place for really good food in a very friendly atmosphere. Be sure to book as it gets busy. Value for money with attentive service. The desserts are delicious. Drinks are also reasonable prices

Just arrived back from a two night stay here. Arrived about dinner time but could not check in until 3pm as the pub didn't open until then. We did know about this before so not a problem the gates were open and we parked in the small car park and walked into the centre, which took about 15 minutes. Check...
