Last minute booking and I was a bit concerned as it said last room available compact room. The room was great ideal for what we needed. The breakfast baskets were great the first time I had seen them done really well. All in all we had a great time and it was a lovely base to go back to to...

Came up for a couple of days, stopped in Room 5 which was spacious, clean and warm. Linda made us feel welcome as usual, breakfast was superb, and we cannot wait to return to our favourite B&B in Whitby, it is just like coming home!

OK its January so Whitby didn't quite have the sun or temperatures of Tenerife, but the warmth of the welcome found at Elford house more than made up the British climate. A beautifully presented house with spacious rooms vaulted ceilings and original features, with parking and comfy beds, slept like a log. Thanks Linda and Ged for a fabulous stay.

We stayed at this guest house in one of the uppermost rooms that was just as charming as it appeared on the booking site. With a view over Whitby towards the Abbey in the distance, our room had a large metal frame sofabed and matching double. The wooden features and floor added to the country feel of the place. We...

Have just spent 3 nights here in room 7, compact double. It was very clean as was the ensuite, but a little on the small side for two people. The breakfast basket delivered to your door each morning is a nice touch with a variety of things, cereals, yogurts, fruit, fresh warm bread or croissant and boiled eggs, no rushing...

This was our 3rd time at Elford House, and this time we stayed in Room 5 for 4 nights after our wedding. Still on "cloud 9" we were thrilled with our room; large, sumptuous bed, dining area, sofa and sideboard containing the hospitality tray, crocks and hairdryer. The whole room/ensuite shower room was immaculately clean. Some friends of ours had...
