We have just spent a couple of days at the excellent Stables at Crossbutts, near Whitby. We ran out of superlatives. The staff whom we met were all delightful and efficient. The room we had- number 4, was spotless, the towels in the bathroom large and very fluffy. The bed, on the mezzanine, was SO comfortable . The food at...

We'd been invited to attend this venue as we heard 10cc and the Real thing were playing at a charity concert. My are we glad we did. What a fantastic day there. We had paid extra and had a champagne reception and had a fantastic buffet. Everything you wanted was there and catered for all tastes. The staff were pleasant...

Me and my husband stayed here Sunday to Tuesday for a short getaway without the kids. It didn't disappoint. We stayed in room 5, which is a mezzanine room with the bed upstairs, a lazy boy sofa downstairs and TV. Coffee making facilities on a cute trolley with yummy biscuits that you can also actually buy from there. The whole...

Stayed here for one night midweek with friends, this included a 2 course meal in the evening. Our room was stable 1 on the ground floor, there was a walk in shower and underfloor heating. There were personal touches of a small bottle of prosecco on ice, chocolates, slippers and a dressing gown for the female. In the bathroom toiletries...

Have stayed in the four poster suite twice now and the hotel, facilities, staff and food never fail to disappoint. The hotel is decorated beautifully at Christmas and I can recommend the Christmas fayre which was fabulous.

Hadn't intended to visit but an issue with my motorbike caused an unplanned immediate stop and into the car park we coasted. While we waited for a mechanic we had a drink and a meal. Really friendly staff, great quirky premises, quick service and lovely meal. We will definately be visiting again in the future.

Upon arrival the staff were really friendly, we decided to sit outside to have a couple of drinks before coming inside to eat. The grounds out the back are brilliant, our little girl loved it. The food was absolutely exceptional & reasonably priced too. We're looking forward to coming back!

My wife and I stay stayed at Cross Butts on our way to Scotland. We stayed in the the "stables"?. Underfloor heating very clean and pleasant and helpful staff. Breakfast was very good with good choice of food, could hear traffic noise as situated on a busy roundabout if sitting out. Would stay at Cross Butts again.
