cheap and cheerful, The double room itself was on the small side but clean, but on further inspection the pillows were stained which looked like mould and the mattress was rock hard. Think we must of got the short straw room as no double glazing so could here all outside traffic, drunks, police vans, people shouting arguing and fighting till 3/4...

A great find. Opposite bus station, near taxi rank. Dog friendly. Helpful staff. Great location. Traditional pub. Wood floors, music drinks and food if you wish. Stairs to different levels so not disabled friendly.

Please don't complain that this is a room above a pub - you know this when you book it. If you don't want to be above a busy, loud, late pub, don't go!! Con parking here but only £7 for 24 hours a few minutes away at the marina. Nice pub with lovely features and sky tv in one room....

We stayed for one night in February. We were located on the third floor and our room was well away from any noise coming from the bustling pub downstairs. The room was big enough and we had an en suite shower room. The room was warm and clean. The staff were friendly and welcoming. The pub seems to offer a...

There didn't appear to be anyone in the room next door to us and the window must have been left open in the room. The door was banging away in its frame making sleep impossible. It was an almighty racket ( very windy night). Husband fixed it by jamming beer mats between the door and frame in the end so...

Stayed for 1 night and was dreading it after reading the reviews after I'd booked it. Pleased to say, the reviews I read weren't accurate. The pub and rooms were very clean and tidy, staff were friendly and helpful. The only correct review was that the price of beer changes depending on the time and day that you stay. Would...

I gave 2 points for the George, one for location and one for being pretty clean. It is a very tired run down pub with rooms. The room was very cold, especially with the temps being -3 outside. We kept asking the barman to put the heating on. The windows were very old and draughty, I had to put a...
