Stay at Bagdale at least once a year always in the Hall. Great rooms very clean and tidy. Breakfast is excellent to set you up for a nice day in Whitby. Mike and Alison (Managers) are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Looking forward to visiting again soon!

Stayed in the hall this weekend in a four poster room on a stay one night get one free. It was a gorgeous room and beautiful breakfast. Word of warning through have stayed in the house just up road that is also part of bagdale and it is awful so if staying here make sure you're in the main hall

Wow, what a place. 15th century hotel in the heart of Whitby. What's not to like? Spent 2 nights in the main hotel. 4 poster suite. Could not fault it! Queen sized bed, leather sofa and chairs and enough room to have a party. Certainly felt like a queen. Took advantage of the buy one night, get one free. Staff...

Stayed in the main old part, 4 poster and a very comfortable room. Excellent breakfast. Restaurant closed (just after Christmas ) but loads of places for good food just down the road. Staff here are very good.

After enjoying several morning coffees and an anniversary dinner here we took the plunge and booked a two nights for the price of one break. Not at all disappointed. Room 1 was very comfortable, with every appointment needed. The room is huge, with 4 poster bed, settee and armchair. There is a huge fireplace, not in use anymore, a desk...

We stayed in the lodge behind this hotel. Plenty of parking at both hotels. Can only check in at the Old Hall, but was easy enough. Rooms okay, comfy bed. Only gripe was the breakfast, lack of organisation. Sat down and waited about 15 mins before we was even asked if we wanted coffee, then what we wanted for breakfast....
