Our stay at whitby was for my partners birthday. As she had never stayed in Whitby, an overnight stay was an easy choice for a surprise. I have stayed in Whitby before and thoroughly enjoyed my stay on every occasion. Staying in various levels of hotels and b&b. Whitbys old charm, fantastic restaurants and charming pubs never fail to deliver....

After hours of walking around Whitby and exhausted from climbing down the abbey, we decided to visit an English pub. The dolphin was perfect because of the view and its traditional design. Really enjoyed our time there. Cozy and friendly place, affordable and nice ales.

we visited here several times on our week long stay near whitby.......good selection of beer, bit overpriced but this is a seaside town. we were going to eat here but several visions of unhygienic practices put us off- the first was the barman filling up the jars of pork scratchings with his bare hands -no gloves or scoop. the second...

We fancied a change from Fish and Chips so decided upon The Dolphin. Basically does what it says on the tin. Decent pub food cooked and served well at a decent price. The burger was huge. Desserts looked tempting, but too full. Dog friendly as well.

Good old fashioned pub but sadly stopped serving food at 8 which was disappointing as we had had a 4 hr journey and arrived at quarter past. Live music on the Friday night. .. a gtreat start to the weekend

We booked the Folphin for its position in town. The staff were friendly and helpful. Locked out of room when lock brocke but staff sorted it. A fun couple of days making the birthday girl's weekend one to remember. As Arnie says I'll be back!!!!

On a 2 day visit to Whitby we have visited twice. It is nice to have choices and we worked our way through 3 different ones. I loved Old Rosie great appley flavour and way stronger than it seemed so we needed food to go with it the meat and olives platter worked perfectly. Even including sweet garlic to keep...

What a corker. The new refurb here really makes the difference. I stayed in room 6, and the view was stunning. The Dolphin's Cask ales & brand new Gin selection are another level - served beautifully. Followed up by a hearty breakfast the next day as you look out across the water - barely felt like a business trip. I'd...

We popped in for drinks on a day trip from Selby. It was busy as it was half term but found a nice table with a view of the water. Friendly staff and although we didnt eat there we could see a wide selection of food being served. Nice and clean, would return again if visiting Whitby.
