I was delighted to find somewhere that had both Hoegaarden and Leffe on draught, both served out of the correct glasses! Looking at the boards there is a wide range of beers, ciders and spirits available. Cosy little pub with a good atmosphere. We visited...More

Thank you for the review, we’re glad you enjoyed your visit. For a small pub, we’ve always tried to have a good range of products on offer, especially ones which aren’t always available elsewhere. Hopefully we’ll see you again soon. Sue and the team

A one night stay while we had a new boiler fitted was very enjoyable.Well-kept ales, lovely hot winter drinks, really nice atmosphere. The room itself was clean, with an excellent shower.Friendly, helpful staff and very reasonably priced. No breakfast here, but the Monk's Haven directly opposite can be recommended.

On our first night in Whitby we walked into town looking for a friendly, original pub. We couldn’t quite believe our luck when we poked our heads into the Black Horse only to find a real welcoming community - talking, singing and having fun -...More

We’d seen most of the bars on the north side of the harbour and were now heading south. With the exception of the Abbey Wharf, the bars on this side of town are traditional. The Black Horse was no different. We went along the alley...More

No parking at the pub, but the nearest car park is just down the street, less than 5 mins walk, and costs about £8.50 for 24hrs.

Hi, Thanks for the question. Both double rooms overlook the cobbles. Resolution is on the first floor and Adventure is on the second, that's the only difference. Hope that helps
