My self and my husband have stayed at the middleham Since Sheila and mick took it over many years ago ! We have watched them work very hard refurbish all the rooms to a very high standard , there's always a warm welcome and a first class breakfast waiting ! It's a lovely FAMILY guest house .

Just enjoyed a 2 night stay at The Middleham, Mick and Sheila are very welcoming. We had a great room on the top floor with wonderful sea view, lovely clean room with very comfortable bed, no problem getting to sleep! and a hearty breakfast. Will certainly stay again😊

We recently stayed at the Middleham as the B&B we usually stayed at was full and we were recommended to try the Middleham very luckily for us they had 1 room left. We were greeted by the very friendly owners Sheila and Mick who gave us a parking pass and advised us where to park before showing us to our...

While we are not "a family", but only one of the couples whom it has been claimed get preferential treatment over any families who stay here, I must say that I was shocked and angered by the extremely negative review placed on here by a family who stayed here with their 5 year old son on the same Bank Holiday...

We originally booked in for a 2 night stay at The Middleham but checked out after only 1 night. The proprietors, Mick & Sheila claim to be friendly and welcoming but this was not the case. Sheila obviously has a problem with an active, happy, caring 5 year old boy. Her face spoke a thousand words, with her constant raised...

In reply to your review, it was your choice to go home after staying one night & only when a guest complained to you about your son had been running around the bedroom from 6am & had woken them up. We have had hundreds of families in our guest house over the years & never had a family like yours...

We are regulars at The Middleham B&B in Whitby and we could not ask for better hosts than Mick and Sheila. They go out of their way to help you, they meet and greet you on arrival and their friendliness is just wonderful. We have stayed in three different rooms here now and everyone have been spotlessly clean, roomy and...
