We stayed for 3 nights and felt that in Paula and Peter we had found two top quality friends. Denzil the dog was friendly too! If you wanted a masterclass in how to run a B&B come here and observe. All our phone conversations before arrival were warm and friendly. On arrival we were welcomed in with offers of wine,...

Very friendly welcoming and helpful, very clean and the room could not have been any better. Breakfast was first class. Would definitely stop here again and recommended it for others. Only a 10 minute walk into the harbour.

Had a lovely weekend in Whitby, Paula & Peter were fantastic hosts, making us feeling 'home' and giving us interesting tips for a better visit of Whitby. Breakfast was just gorgeous, made off locally sourced ingredients. We couldn't ask for a better room: clean, tidy and warm. In a nutshell: fantastic weekend, fantastic food, fantastic people. Thanks Paula&Peter!

Absolutely lovely room, lovely couple who run the place, very friendly and couldn't do enough for us, and delicious breakfast. Only ten minutes walk if that from Whitby centre, well worth a visit we will be visiting again.

What a fantastic B & B, the hosts, Peter & Paula (and of course the adorable Denzil) really make you feel welcome. The breakfast is superb, using the best, locally sourced produce, cooked perfectly. Our room was spacious and comfortable. Would highly recommend The Riftswood.
