Super nice couple that own and run the B&B (and denzel the dog) very close to everything and in a lovely quiet area. Cooked breakfast to die for. Would definitely recommend to anyone stopping at Whitby for a few nights. Thanks again Paula and Peter 😊

We were here for Goth weekend and time away from work. I dropped on this B & B by chance after leaving it a little later than normal to book for this weekend. When I rang to confirm the landlady offered a lift with our cases from the bus station which was greatly appreciated! We were shown to our room...

I telephoned to ask about availability and Paula couldn't have been more welcoming. We arrived to a very pleasant reception from Peter and Denzil (a dog who almost seems human) and were offered free parking directly outside the guesthouse. Our room was clean, comfortable and extremely spacious and nothing was too much trouble for our friendly hosts. Although we only...

This was our first time visit to Whitby and we could not have stayed in a better b&b. The place has a very homely feel to it and the owners along with Denzil the dog are very friendly and helpful. The breakfast which is cooked to order is excellent and I must recommend the Kippers option which are truly delicious....

We recently stayed at Riftswood b&b and could not recommend it more! Not only were we offered a "3 nights for 2" but we were greeted with a glass of wine! Complete with b&b dog, our stay was amazing and we were very comfortable. When/if we come back to Whitby we will definitely be looking to stay here again...already missing...

We love Whitby and come to the town as often as we can. We now have a new place to stay. Three bedrooms in a quiet location. The hosts, Paula and Peter, are so friendly but respectful. We left feeling that we had been visiting friends. Clean and spacious room (room 3) good quality tea coffee and biscuits. Breakfast really...

Excellent b&b, friendly and helpful proprietors. A lovely clean, comfy, quiet, room, a real homely feel. A fantastic breakfast with plenty of options, a good ten minutes walk to the town centre and a overall brilliant stay.

Well I don't know where to start, Peter and Paula are amongst the nicest people we've met on our travels, they treat you as friends from minute one and make you feel at home straight away with a glass of wine and homemade fruit cake!. How many other B&B owners offer free lifts to guests? Or personalise each breakfast choice...

We have just returned from a wonderful three night break in Whitby. we stayed at the lovely Riftswood, very well situated on the West Cliff, two minutes from the sea and a 10 minute stroll down to the harbourside. On arrival we were greeted with home made cake, tea and a glass of wine! Paula and Peter are such welcoming...

Unless you visit Riftswood you could never truly appreciate what kind, thoughtful people Peter and Paula are. They left no stone unturned to make our visit a memorable one. We could not fault room two, the lovely breakfast they provided or the warm company that was there in the background. We arrived as new customers, we left with precious memories....
