Stayed for a long weekend, Friday to Monday in room 12 which is on the top fourth floor. The owner made sure I knew this when booking as there are a lot of stairs to climb. The room was fine, a family room with a double and single bed. The bathroom was a bit tiny but everything was clean and...

We've stopped at many places in Whitby over the years but the Riviera Guest House is a step above the rest. In a fantastic location, 5 minutes walk to the harbour and fantastic views looking over the sea front. The hosts were fantastic and very helpful. Our view was on the top floor, a few stairs to negotiate but if...

Arrived for a single nights break before easter weekend. Found the hotel with ease and parked outside as I quickly nipped in (at the risk of a warden) to check-in and sort parking. I was greeted by the wonderful Zed who got me sorted and gave me a 50p 4-day parking voucher, for which you can park residentially at the...

We arrived at guest house and found parking across from hotel, were greeted by one of the owners Zed . Very friendly and helpful ,who advised us to park round the corner of guest house as he could give us a parking pass for 50p for 4 day stay . Otherwise it would cost us £8.00 a day to stay...

After a last minute day trip to Whitby, where we had packed a small bag "just in case", we drove around West Cliff for a little while looking for suitable accommodation, before coming across The Riviera. A room at the rear was available which we took. It had a lovely comfy bed and amazingly powerful shower! We were a little...

Stayed here on my own for one night earlier this week. Zed was really friendly when I arrived and I was given a room on the second floor with a sea view. Perfect location, quiet but close enough to walk to anywhere I needed to be. Paid for parking but then was told that I could have parked for cheaper....

The Riviera has stunning views over the bay. The room we had was basic but very comfortable. Breakfast was more than plentiful and set us up for the drive home. On a down side there were loads of stairs, but the owner did tell us this before we booked. We would book again

My husband and I enjoyed our stay here very much. Great location, everywhere in walking distance from the hotel. I must say the bed was soooo comfortable. Spacious rooms with adequate facilities. My only annoyance was when the maid tried to get in without knocking (good job we had locked the door!). Overall, this would be the place to stay...

We stayed here for one night during a short visit to Whitby and found the B&B to be of a very good standard. It is located on the front giving nice views of the North Sea but is also well placed for access to the Harbour and town centre. The rooms are nice, clean and modern with all the usual...

We're really pleased that you enjoyed your stay with us. Thank you for such a positive review. Regarding the postage charges, we have had no choice but to set a standard charge of £8 to send items left, whether they be small or large. We used to go to the Post Office to weigh and 'cost' each item that guests...

From the moment I arrived at the Riveria I was made to feel welcome and every effort was made for me to find a parking space. Myself being single had a lovely clean single room overlooking a beautiful sea front. Breakfast was simply lovely with alot of choice and sausages were to die for which were hand made. There was...
