We spent two nights at No 5 in a spacious double room, bright, airy, and comfortable . Jane is the perfect host, and Mary cooks the perfect breakfast. There is also plenty of choice with the cereals, and various fruit bowls , toast, tea, and coffee etc. I would stay at No5 again, if visiting Whitby. 😊

We had a fantastic two night stay at this great establishment. Very friendly and helpful owners. Spotlessly clean and with good facilities. The breakfast was fab with plenty of choice. It is ideally situated close to the town with great pubs and restaurants.

One of the best guest houses we have ever stayed in! We stayed at No 5 on Valentines weekend. Both Jane and Mary make you so welcome and look after you throughout the stay. The attention to detail in the rooms and the excellent choice at Breakfast is second to none (Including the love hearts and chocs on the breakfast...

The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the centre's bars and restaurants as well as the harbour area. The guest house is spotlessy clean and although the rooms are basic they are extremely...

I stayed here with my lovely man as a pre Christmas surprise. We were both delighted with the appearance and facilities provided. Jayne and Mary are wonderful hosts and really welcomed us. The room was beautifully equipped and presented, with everything thought of, even a cafetiere in the room and fresh milk if preferred along with water, lemonade and coke...

No. 5 was a stopover for 1 night. We had the amazing little attic suite which we totally enjoyed (great view). There are no lifts and this was at the top of a lot of stairs - but that's how you stay young, right? Breakfast was excellent, the setting very charming. Location is great for walking around town, yet out...

A little overdue this review as we stayed over the Musicport Festival weekend back in mid October. As always there was a warm welcome and our room at the front of the house on the 1st floor (No2) was lovely. Everything was spotlessly clean and comfortable as we knew it would be and the cafetiere to allow you to make...

It's about my 15th time here. Amazing service, friendly owners, beautifully decorated rooms, quality breakfasts (even kippers for the adventurous! ) and exquisite attention to detail means I will be back again. Soon. They really know the area, are on hand with relevant suggestions for things to do. Love this place.
