When we turned up here I was going to try somewhere else as there was lorries out the front and people up ladders, but, it turned out that all the mattresses and beds were being replaced and the hotel was getting a lick of paint. The plan, apparently, is a complete refurbishment so it's on the up and up. The...

I booked a 2 night stay over Easter (room only) to visit my daughter. The room was clean & presentable. It represented good value for money & is about a 20 minute walk from the city centre & within easy reach of Norwich train station. Was very noisy during the night with doors banging & rowdy people coming in at...

We booked in the Hotel as we were having a leaving do in the City. We only booked for the parking as others charged. The receptionist gave me the impression of Acorn Antiques with his 1 soup way of doing tings. Room 45 just stank of sweaty socks, it took us 2 seconds and walked out. The recepionist could not...

A purpose built , maybe 1960's, hotel, past it's prime, grubby in places, but the loo and basin, the sheets and towels were very clean, kettle and tea/coffee in the room plus biscuits. Was quiet in the room. I didn't have breakfast but for £5 was prob a good deal. Stayed here on late notice for a festival. Good location...

Wish a read the reviews first. Hotel needs a big face lift. Shabby unloved and needs to be upgraded . Needed a bed for a couple of nights and that's what I got. Breakfast was the saving grace. Delicious. Friendly staff

This is the worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Dirty room it was impossible to sit on the toilet properly as the basin hung over the toilet. The wardrobe was dropping to pieces. The curtains fell off.The breakfast was a dried up greasy mess. Unless you are totally desperate avoid the Lansdowne like the plague.
