Very comfortable Overnight stay with a lovely bed and furnishings & beautiful en suite. And such a great pub downstairs! As others have said, the continental take away breakfast was not quite in the realms of a fry-up but I didn't have time anyway so took it with me for elevenses at work. Also, this was what Iwas expecting as...

We stayed in room 3 on 28th April 2017. The room was spacious and clean. Net curtains were badly ripped in places, but the rest of the decor was fine (albeit dated). Bathroom was massive (easily would have fitted a bath in there!) and overall clean, however the overhead shower head was covered in limescale. We were so excited by...

4 excellently-appointed rooms above a great traditional pub, selling real ales and cider. Good parking at rear. All rooms en suite, with continental breakfast supplied to the room each day. No 13 bus into the city centre, a hundred and fifty yards from The Lord Roseberry.

I stayed here with my boyfriend for a night after I visited the university and it was a good enough distance from the city centre and it was easy to find. We stayed in room number 1 and it lived up to its expectations. The room was big with an ensuite that was also a reasonable size. Everything was clean...

Staff very welcoming and helpful. Double room (No 1) was clean, tidy and comfy (temperature in room not too hot or too cold). Hair dryer, iron/ironing board, TV, ice bucket, corkscrew available. Lovely hot shower with plenty of fresh towels. Sideboard packed with choice of DIY breakfast (tea, coffee, croissants, biscuits, cereal, fruit and fresh milk, yogurts, bottles orange juice...

Pub down stairs in pleasant with a good selection of ales. Staff are very friendly. Stayed in room 4 and the extractor fan was on constantly which kept me awake. Other than that it was a reasonable stay.

Stayed over Christmas for two nights. The room we had (number 3) was very nicely furnished, plenty big enough and clean and tidy. Nice big en suite with large shower (no bath). As others have said you check in at the pub then access the rooms via a separate door which was not a problem. There is no reception staff...

This was my first stay at the Lord Rosebery. It is well located within walking distance of the City centre and has reserved parking for guests which would avoid parking charges. My room appeared recently decorated (say in the last couple of years) and a lot of thought had gone into the dark wood antique styled furniture and decor. In...
