The Rosebery is a lovely pub off the beaten track in Norwich which is well worth seeking out. Food is delicious and reasonably priced for the amount you get and there is a really good range of beer and cider. Staff are friendly and efficient and the pub has a really lovely ambience.

My husband and myself had a couple nights break and had a lovely time. Nice size room, nice bathroom. Quiet, good parking. It was nice to have all we needed for breakfast in the cupboard. We had a meal one night downstairs at the pub and it was fantastic. Not typical pub food, so so nice! The staff at check in and at pub were all really nice. All in all would definitely stay again. If anything could be changed it’s just the bed was pretty solid, we are used to a softer mattress;)

Location / Parking The B&B / Pub is amongst a row of terrace houses, so quite narrow to get in along the road with cars parked on either side of the road, so you need to be careful. Have to hope another car is not coming the other way and hope no one is parked sticking out. But 4 good off road parking slots for residents at back of the pub / B&B The pub part was actually closed (we knew that) but that was probably a bonus for us as it was nice and quiet Easy little walk into Norwich centre and other pubs nearby. David and Rita T (owners) were pleasant, friendly to deal with. Breakfast hamper was good. Nice soft croissants, butter and Jam all hygienically wrapped Tea, coffee, biscuits, Bottled Orange Juice, Bottled water, fresh pints of milk. Yoghurts, Cereal No fruit as per pictures or the information book though understand that fruit can bruise or perish easily (especially in hot weather) and perhaps not as hygienic under the current circumstance, Little fridge in the room / cupboard that was handy. The kettle leaked one night and panicked me a bit as I thought it had water stained the wooden desk, but I mopped it up with a towel and luckily it dried OK, left a note and the kettle was swapped over for another. Room Older property so still wooden windows, windows need a bit of a clean-up or repair and also on taking the photo realised one is actually cracked in the glass. They did bang, rattle about a bit when open and a bit of wind. I asked about fans in the room knowing the weekend was due to be hot and though one is provided an extra nice big one was provided too, thanks for that. & the fans helped too due to the windows banging in the wind, i.e we tended to choose the fan for cooling over the open window TV in the room, but would suggest the batteries in the remote need changing, I think they expired a while ago !! 2018 , didn’t think it was going to work at first and we were trying the buttons on TV instead but a bit of a wiggle about we got some life out of it. Good big bathroom with toiletries provided though not sure the extractor fan was working, if so it was very very silent ?? The wooden bed frame, size of bed would have been an issue had my husband been any taller as his feet were just touching the end. We had a good nights sleep, and generally felt quite comfortable in the room We stayed for a long weekend and the price was good for what we got We had an enjoyable, comfortable stay in Norwich.

We have stayed here a couple of times, the rooms are good spacious and clean. The location is good for the town and visits to the plentiful community pubs nearby. Norwich is a great compact city and a good place to visit in comfort.

Upon arrival to the Lord Rosebery we had very high hopes due to all the good reviews unfortunately this was not the case at our stay. When checking in I asked the member of staff who checked us in if there was any tourist leaflets etc. or local attractions to visit as this was our first time to Norwich and she replied with ‘no but you can use google.’ I was quite shocked at her reply as was told the staff were so friendly and helpful but was made to feel like she just wanted to check us in and take payment quickly. Room was clean and had everything we needed however ‘breakfast hamper’ was a bit disappointing, this does not arrive fresh in the morning as I thought it would and picture is misleading as it shows a glass bottle with juice we only had plastic bottles in fridge, no jam jar with what looks like homemade local jam according to picture just two small packet jams and no bread roll unlike the picture or choice of croissant or pastry as promised in guest book just two croissants in a plastic wrapper so was a left feeling underwhelmed. we did receive plenty of fresh milk in the fridge though that was topped up each day which was good. Staff also made us feel quite unwelcome when going into the bar for a drink on the Monday evening, we were the only two in the bar but the member of staff serving us made no conversation at all and we felt as if we were an inconvenience to him. Overall I would say the room was clean and pleasant enough but did not feel welcome. Will not be returning
