I have been visiting mecure many years, purely for business outings, client meetings and even just a few drinks. I was having a drink in the bar, where a lady called Kayleigh had spoken to the bar staff like something she may have trodden in. It was embarrassing and frankly quite disgusting to watch. The staff who I have spoken...

Thank you for your kind comments regarding my team in general. Whilst it's difficult for me to comment on a situation I did not witness, I would expect that all of my team would treat each other with kindness and respect.

Spent a few days here on a long weekend. The hotel is very clean and the gym and pool a bonus. Had one meal in the restaurant. I had a starter which was a little on the cold side but still very nice. My main was really good.. Lamb but my husband had the mixed grill which was very dry....

Thank you for taking the time to write a review. I am delighted that you had an enjoyable and comfortable stay. The outside area you are referring to is a garden adjacent to one of our event rooms. I am afraid that the room was in use and therefore the garden would have been closed to the public. Thank you...

Hotel is tired and dated, should be closed down and completely refurbished. Peeling wallpaper, filthy carpets - I daren't walk on it without shoes during my stay. Cobwebs and dust everywhere in room, even dust on surfaces in the en-suite. Bath was stained and full of hairs. Room was supposed to have air conditioning, but it did nothing, there were...

Rachael I am truly shocked by your review ans so sorry we disappointed you to this extent. I have inspected your room and cannot confirm you cleanliness claims. I have attended to the weak hair drier but the aircon seems to be fine. The pillows, duvets and beds are all brand new.

Although the photos have bushes which are green this hotel is basically on an industrial estate but it is very convenient for both Norwich and was on the side where we were visiting. Rooms were clean and well equipped with a decent bath tub as well as shower. Tea & coffee making in rooms but apparently they only offer biscuits...

Room was very nice, I had a great nice sleep. I didn't eat in the restaurant due to colleagues comments. Also up early so skipped breakfast. Staff were very friendly and did their job very well. A couple did look very scuffy.

A group of us (48 in total) spent 4 days at this hotel. We are part of a U3A group. If you don't know what U3A is, we are retired people, in our 60's and 70's. We went to this hotel as part of an organised trip. We all sat down for dinner on the first night, and the meal...

I am sorry that we were slow to respond to some of your concerns but equally pleased that we were able to largely recover the situation. I take your point regarding wine menus but can assure you that we absolutely do not assume any of our guests will accept anything other than great service. We are 75% aior-conditioned and hope...

I stay frequently in hotels on business, often in the Jury's chain. I was booked into this one and it just doesn't compare. To start with the good stuff, the staff I encountered were excellent, They are the polish. I was allocated a suite. Selection of toiletries. On the negative side: The carpet was threadbare. The furniture was scratched and...

Negatives :- Room smelt damp and stuffy . Wood lice crawling on the floor by the bed . Noise of traffic day/night is horrendous. Emergency service sirens blaring away to get through traffic lights and cars speeding up and down the road Positive :- Near to city

I am so sorry your experience was a negative one. Whilst situated close to the ring-road, guests do not usually complain of excessive noise to this extent. I can only apologize and hope you return to a bedroom at the rear of our hotel.

My wife and I booked a privilege room via the web site for 1 night after a week in a cottage in nearby Cottishal. Our room turned out to be a suite which at the time of check out we complimented the manager on the great room. We had been upgraded which was a very pleasant surprise. That said the...

We had a wonderful 8 night stay at the Mercure. Whilst the location is central and the views are non-existent, we found it a wonderful base from which we explored Norfolk. The hotel staff were incredibly helpful and professional, they gave us a superb hotel suite which had a dressing room, separate sleeping area for our children and ourselves. The maids...
