COVID safe , friendly staff , lovely food can’t be faulted. Would highly recommend. The evening was very enjoyable and we arrived too early for our booking but the staff were fantastic and let us order our food .

Freshly cooked Dover sole and best ever homemade ice cream. A very enjoyable first meal at The Norfolk Lurcher. The Norfolk Mushroom and Camembert starter very bland and unexciting but the rest of my meal made up for that.

Seven in our party for Saturday evening meal have been here a few times but this is my first review. And I have to say the food was outstanding I don't know how we managed it but we all had three courses and each one outstanding.good choice of real ales and good wine. Shocked to hear there mascot Alfie had passed away will be sadly missed by everyone. But the new little pup is a gem

Having been warned by reviews in the accommodation that booking was advisable , we booked a table in the restaurant. On arrival , we were given the extensive menu to chose from , and then shown the specials board which also had a large selection on it. After making our selection of a two crab starters, followed by steak pie and pork with peaches, we were quickly shown to our table . The starter was delicious , followed by equally flavoursome main courses. We finished the meal with two delightful desserts. We enjoyed our meal which was reasonably priced and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone staying in the area.

I had visited several times in the past and liked the modern and bright traditional style and lovely country atmosphere. Not anymore!! Very dark, cluttered and old fashioned. Having got use to paying for my beer by card over the last year in other local pubs I asked if I could pay by card! You would have thought I had helped myself to a bottle of beer. The landlady did allow me to pay on card but the landlord gave me a lecture. Told me to read something on the wall that was impossible as it was so dark. He continued to lecture me and tell me they wouldn't receive the money until the following week. If I hadn't paid for my beer I would have left. I felt like I was back at school and been chastised like in the old days. The landlord shouldn't be in the business of hospitality. He hasn't a clue.
