Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.

Amazing customer service. I went for my boyfriends birthday. We got a small upgrade and were welcomed with a birthday dessert in the room. Location isn't bad, and the facilities are lovely. The hot tub wasn't very hot, but this is my only complaint. We weren't provided with

Stayed for one night. Before visiting we were given the option for an E Standy Upgrade at discounted rates. Worth doing for a Riverside view but not the extra £15 for a high floor (thought it was an either/ or charge not both). A service charge is applied to the restaurants

The Hotel is awesome, perfect service, great design, many opportunities for food. The view from the Skybox beautiful. The restaurant is very good. The way to the next underground station is about 5 minutes to walk but there´s the opportunity of a shuttle too! Just perfect there!

Can you walk to 02 and is hotel suitable for children
Dear "bhgfddyyuij", Thank you for your question regarding InterContinental London - The O2. The hotel indeed has the benefit of being located next to the O2 arena and the direct walkway ensures that our guests easily access the venue within minutes. We always have children at heart here at the hotel and welcome families. In August and December we organised a special children's area where the families could have enjoyed some quality time together and also extended swimming times for the kids. In the other months we also aim to look after families very well and provide them with special moments. Please contact our guest relation team should you decide to stay with us in the near future. Kind regards, Anda Caraiman Quality and Brand Manager
