We stayed at this hotel for four nights and the staff was very polite and accommodating. Room was kept clean, and although the bathroom was small, it was clean also and the shower was good. The beds were very comfortable. We enjoyed the convenience of having a kitchenette. My only complaint and this is why I didn't give a better...

Stayed here about two years ago for my husbands birthday. Hotel had left a bottle of bubbly in the room as well as a happier birthday note as I had emailed to say it was a birthday. Nice surprise! We were able to leave our bags as we arrived very early and room wasn't ready. Five min walk from tube...

My husband and I stayed 5 nights here after a month touring around the UK in preparation for our return to the USA. I was happy to find a hotel in Zone 1 within walking distance to 3 Underground stations (Bayswater was closest-about a 5 minute walk through a Russian neighborhood, then Queensway, then Paddington) for a very reasonable price....

I have sought a not so expensive hotel close to but not inside London Centre. This hotel fitted its purpouse: not expensive, comparing to others available; quite well located, in a charming area four blocks from bayswater station; free wifi internet in the rooms; small bathroom, but with amazingly good shower (strong positive point). However, the room itself was a...

Spent 4 nights at the Hyde Park Hotel last week and it was a wonderful stay. Last time I stayed at the Hilton next door, but I have to say I enjoyed the Hyde Park Hotel better. The room was clean and cozy, with internet (didn't have that at the Hilton), AC that's hidden beyond a painting on the wall...

The Hyde Park Hotel was chosen for the price we got for trading some of our timeshare points and that it was fairly close to the sites we wanted to take in. The hotel was in an average area about 10 minute walk from Tube station. The staff was great and very helpful. The room was clean but cold and...

Stayed here with my husband for 4 nights in January, it was our first 'sightseeing' trip to London and the Hyde Park Hotel was a great base, its very close to Queensway which is a good shopping street itself with plenty of shops, restaurants, pubs and two tube stations! Its a small hotel and the staff were friendly and helpful...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
