We were quite pleased with the service of the front desk of a guy who is from Nepal and another European golden hair lady who helped us get an umbrella as it was pouring. However, we were turned down flat by the asian lady who was manning the counter when we tried to borrow an umbrella as it was raining,...

The rooms are ok, the bathrooms are tiny, but the location is great for restaurants, trains and convenience shops. The internet is slow sometimes, but its ok. I would stay again if I ever came back to London.

Hotel ideally located in a residential area, accessible by bus to Paddington station and city centre including an eight to ten minutes walk to Bayswater underground. Many restaurants close by so no need to go to the centre if one needs to stay around the area. Our room was small with a tiny bathroom with no space to manoeuver. I...

This hotel is absolutely awful and I've never even stayed one night here. I booked my reservation and didn't find it was non-refundable until I tried to cancel. I tried emailing them literally 12 times and STILL never received a word back from them. Absolutely horrendous customer service.

To start with the location, very good area. Close to two metro stations with easy access to the city within a few minutes. 10 min walking from Notting Hill Gate - Lovely area! The rooms are not big, but comfortable enough for a few days of holidays. Small kitchenette might come in handy if you're spending more time. The bathroom...

Just returned from a two night stay here. No real complaints apart from the best was extremely hard. Our room was on the second floor facing the road, small but clean. No issues with the staff, all seemed friendly and polite. 10 minute stroll from Bayswater station passing many nice looking eateries. Would stay here again

The hotel has no place to sit down or eat but the staff are helpful and give necessary things. The bathroom is very small and the room is also tiny. The area is amazing with Bayswater Tube Stop and even Queensway a short walk away. The hotel is a little out of the city but with buses and tubes it...

The Royale Chulan is an awesome spot and is super close to multiple restaurants, supermarkets and public transport. We found it otherwise quite poor and wouldn't return. Our reasons include the poor maintenance and keeping of our room including a tiny and almost inhospitable shower with a broken shower head. The housekeeping was minimal and the toilet paper was not...

I hate writing negative reviews, so I'll start with the hand full of positives. -Good location for transport, small shops and restaurants. -The lady who works here with the red hair is so kind/polite. -Pleasantly surprised by the comfy bed, also the duvet is nice and thick. Now onto the negatives -The senior male who works here is so rude...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
