The floors were dirty, muddy footprints in the bathroom. The curtains had fallen down, so the room was flooded with light in the morning. The room was facing towards a very noisy construction site. The entire hotel smelled weird and sort of "chemical". I was told that breakfast was until 11am, but really it was only until 10am, so when...

The hotel was clean, tidy, had all the basic stuff required for one night stay, such as soap, tea bags, coffee, a kettle, 2 towels. The location is central, which was very good. The staff was friendly and helpful. The only bad thing is that you always have to check in after 3 pm. Me and my friend were there...

So I stayed here with my wife over the recent London Marathon weekend. This place is so well situated being very close to the Circle Line/DLR and right next door to the Tower of London. There are plenty of bars and cafés about too and although there's no parking with the decent transport links it doesn't matter. The hotel was...

Stayed here for closeness to attractions & to the Barbican for attending concert. Room very clean comfortable. Small bathroom but adequate. Friendly helpful staff from reception to breakfast staff. Ad not been expecting such a good choice of food (or cooked food) so that was an added bonus. Although central the room was very quiet so had a really good...

You get what you pay for! 08:00 Saturday morning ..heavy drilling from adjacent building site ...view from room 324. Tea/coffee in room / bed was okay / great location which is well served by public transport. Forget a sleep after 08:00!

Thank you taking the time to leave us feedback. We are truly sorry to learn that your stay was affected by external noise. Our more central locations may be noisier however to ensure our guests are comfortable we do provide double glazing and we try to work with the local areas and communities. It is regrettable to hear this was...

Had a nice stay there for one week (on vacaction). It was mostly quiet in the hotel, the room was very tidy and I liked the service, they have friendly staff there. Even if you arrive late, there is always someone at the reception. We didn't dine there, but had breakfast every morning, where there is a buffet with several...

Lovely clean room and fantastic size. Attentive staff. Only down side is the noise from the road. I understand we're in central London but considering we were on the top 7th floor, they should really considering doubling their windows.

Staying in Shoreditch

Neighbourhood Profile
Shoreditch
The western front of the edgy East End, Shoreditch is a perennially trendy haven for anything “street” – be it art, food, or fashion. With its handful of well connected transportation links dotting its perimeter, along with an ever increasing variety of shops, hotels, bars, and restaurants, it's easy to explore this trend-conscious and youth-oriented neighbourhood. There's a lingering post-industrial grit about Shoreditch, but because it shares a border with “The City” financial district, the influence from its upscale neighbour can result in fascinating outcomes.
