We had a thoroughly enjoyable stay at No.16. Our hosts were delightful, engaging and slightly bonkers. I lived in Greenwich years ago and had a fabulous time talking old gossip with Robert. The breakfast was very very good. We would unhesitatingly recommend a stay at No 16. If you wish to avoid boring and stay with interesting people in comfortable...

Sometimes I feel nostalgic about the B&Bs we used to stay in 20+ years ago, and I guess this is the nearest one can get to it nowadays, and this in Greenwich! We stayed in the yellow room, where we slept wonderfully. Both room and bathroom are reasonably sized. We had some difficulties to flush the toilet (and maybe some...

We loved this B&B. It is so stunning and cosy. The bedroom was lovely, and the bed was very comfortable. Nothing like a modern, stiff chain hotel. The host, Robert, is just fantastic. Very helpful. He made us feel very at home, and cooked us a lovely, tasty breakfast. We enjoyed chatting to him, very much. It felt more like...

An excellently located individual B&B that convinces you never to book into a chain hotel again. I totally agree with DSW77. My Wife and I really enjoyed our stay and especially the welcome, helpful advice and amusing anecdotes of our hosts.

We stayed here as it was close to the o2 and we wanted somewhere different instead of the usual corporate hotel. We were not disappointed. Located just a couple of minutes from the church and within 5 minute walk from the Cutty Sark. We stayed in the blue room, it was absolutely beautiful, old world charm and a fabulous iron...

One person's garbage is another person's treasure, apparently. I made the mistake of putting my shoulder-bag on the floor in a corner of our room...the underside came up covered in cat fur. This place needs a serious scrubbing! On the up side, Number 16 is absolutely perfectly located, the room was quiet, and the bathroom well-tended (except for the ten-year-stained,...

As others have said, this is not a corporate stop-over and if you are looking for mass produced anodyne blandness then number 16 is probably not for you. However, if you want a little piece of calm in a hectic city, with comfort, and no lack of style, then hurry yourself to book. I think there are a grand total...

My husband and I stayed here last Saturday and it was perfect. Very good location, beautifully decorated property and friendly and welcoming hosts. I highly recommend this B&B, my husband and I will definitely come back! Robert and Nic are very welcoming and interesting, we really enjoyed talking to them over breakfast. The breakfast was very tasty with good quality...

We often stay in corporate hotels for business, so it was great to find this place for a leisure weekend away. The rooms aren't large but are clean and full of character. The location is superb for exploring Greenwich and the Cutty Sark, but also an easy commute to Canary Wharf and central London, we didn't have enough time to...

I stayed for a night. What a lovely quirky and quaint b&b. I have read the other reviews and yes the rooms are on the small side but they are clean and tidy. The major attraction is location. A 2 minute walk to the center of Greenwich but off the main road so very quite. Robert and nick are lovely...

Staying in Greenwich

Neighbourhood Profile
Greenwich
Greenwich Mean Time starts here, so to speak, as the very concept of global time was established at Royal Observatory, just one of several buildings of architectural interest in Greenwich. Indeed, the whole of Greenwich's historic town center, its Royal Park and a number of related buildings (and one world famous ship, the Cutty Sark) make up the UNESCO World Heritage site known as Maritime Greenwich. Today a laser beam is shot out across the night sky from the Observatory to mark the location of the Prime Meridian. Other bold (some say brash) 21st century additions to the area include landmarks such as The O2 entertainment complex (previously known as the Millennium Dome) and the Air Line cable cars, which offer scenic transport across the Thames between North Greenwich and the Royal Docks.
