Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Traveling with my wife and 2 kids. Booked the 2 bedroom apartment for 5 nights at £4030 per night. Staff couldn’t be less interested. Garbage on the floor between bed and night stand. Decor very shabby - curtains falling down, held together with wire and a few screws at the top. Impossible to close… Room attempts to be very ‘high tech’ with everything centralized to several iPad controllers (lights, shades, tv, ac etc) - but of course none of the iPads work - so you are stuck with zero control. Not a single usb port though… Ordered room service breakfast - but forgot all the drinks … I could go on - but no point. You would be better at a low end Marriott…

Back in London - so glad to see standards have not slipped. After being in Mauritius and noting some previously on point establishments were not at previous levels, this was certainly a lovely experience and a well deserved 5 star review! Really cannot recommend more if looking for trendy London vibes snd great service!

My daughters and I have been here several times for afternoon tea and my daughter who was getting married chose to have a few of us here to celebrate. After a slow start they couldn't do enough and because of the delay we were offered a complimentary glass of champagne as an apology. We didn't get the main waitresses name but she was a slightly older Eastern European lady who couldn't do enough for us. Sorry for the delay but it's been a busy time with the wedding!

All I was trying to do was book a bottle of champagne for my goddaughters 18 th birthday as a surprise . The hotel said they couldn’t take the credit card details over the phone to secure !! In this day and age I cannot understand the issue ! It took 3 calls and I had to return a form signed to ensure it was done ! I will definitely not stay here when I’m in London I’ve booked no 1 aldwich instead for when my family visit winter wonderland

One of the Worst 5 star experiences that I ever had in my life. First of all, if you are so terribly understaffed, lower the prices, because it really harms the customer’s experience. Everybody in the restaurant seems new, nobody knows anything, couple of times our drinks etc. just got forgotten. The top story of my stay is where the room service ladies just tossed out my newly bought things. They sow a Harrods bag, they DIDN’T EVEN checked inside and simply just tossed it out :). Not only that I invested my time in looking for the things I bought, but it’s amazing how room service manager was looking straight into my face, lying to me that they will buy my things and send them to me. Today is 3 weeks after, I didn’t receive anything :) either unprofessional or lying. We asked for a late check out from the suite we were staying at after all of this annoying experience. The reception manager literally told us that the room is available, but we need to pay extra for 2h of late check out :). This is so unprofessional, disrespectful to a customer and atleast have some respect for a couple which things got tossed out by your fellow hotel employees. Having a new staff is an issue. But having SUCH UNPROFESSIONAL managers is a huge problem and will never lead your team to improvement. This was the last time we stayed in Ham Yard. NEVER AGAIN. THANK YOU FOR LYING IN MY face and never covering for my things that you tossed out.

Cocktail 🍹 was amazing. Walk-in for Cocktails - no need to book. Six friends visited for cocktails and were lucky enough to catch the late afternoon sun and sit outside on the pleasant terrace. None of us had visited before and loved it. The Hotel Restaurant, Conservatory and Brasserie looked amazing too. Great selection of beautifully presented cocktails which were all delicious served from their ‘Signature Cocktail’ Menu but their mixologist will prepare any cocktail you wish. Fabulous decor and atmosphere. It’s just around the corner from the Piccadilly Theatre so if you’re on your way to see Moulin Rouge this is a perfect place to drop in for pre-theatre drinks. 🍹🍹🍹

I will give this 4 out of 5 because this hotel is still really good but I am disappointed, always stay at Firmdale the Ham Yard is our favourite but this time I feel they are too busy and not bothered about returning customers maybe it’s all about corporate I’m not sure. I’m very loyal to Firmdale nothing better in my opinion but this stay was not great I asked for room 102 lovely lady on reception guaranteed yes I have it but when I checked in it wasn’t available, shame but room was ok but not as good. Breakfast I ordered tea and toast to the room no butter and no sugar! Oh well never mind but for what I pay not great really. I checked out and went to Charlotte Street amazing please just value your customers
