We stayed here during half term; 2 adults and 4 children under 11. You really can't get better value. If all you want to do is put your head down, eat (a great) breakfast and explore London I'd highly recommend. For what we paid, you couldn't expect anything more.

I love this Hostel. It is in a fantastic location. Very close to central London and the location is safe. The price is very good considering its in central London. Most rooms are very good for hostel standards!

Highly disappointed with the accomodation. Only the 12 bed ensuite rooms were good with clean toilets! The 4 & 8 bed ensuite dorms were cramped and have horrible toilets/bath. The toilets were old and smell, badly in need of refurbishing! Even if you book the 12 bed ensuite, there is no guarantee you will get that since they very often...

The service was good on arrival we were greeted and asked to wait in the cafe/bar area as they had their staff change over, we were offered tea/coffee to enjoy whilst we waited. We were then promptly collected ten minutes later and checked in smoothly, they explained how the hostel worked and where our room was. It was all very...

I realize that this place used to be hostel before. But now when you call yourself a hotel you should do service like a hotel. The room was clean but the bathroom was very small. The location was good, not far from central London. The clean up room service was very poor. no change for a towel and the rubbish...

I had never stayed in a hostel and chose this place as I was visiting London with 4 friends. A hotel room in central London would have been very expensive but this cost us £17 each! The room was spotlessly clean and quite spacious. The en-suite was small but sufficient.

Interesting building, central location, near Tube stations, museums, cafes and restaurants. I was not sure what to expect when I booked as I have heard that Meininger is like a chain of hostels but actually what I fould was a modern hotel, with young, friendly staff, in a central location (but it was fairly quiet in the room). The room...

I've stayed here and Wombats in the East of London. I preferred the area here but the hostel itself was a disappointment. Unlike at Wombats rooms here have no individual lights for each bed so other people get annoyed when you come in after drinking late. Also this place is massive. It feels a little impersonal. It's good to have...

The hostel has an Amazing Location and is really cosy. Has an open area to socialise or have some drinks and chat. The man at the Reception had a rude attitude. No individual lightings at the beds but the amenities were fine and comfortable for a short stay. Value for money. Would Highly Recommend.

Just wanted a simple place to recover from the flight to London before continuing travelling. Had a nice private room with bathroom. Good and clean. Good location. Staff were very friendly and helpful. If you take taxi have the physical address as when I said Meinniger cab driver did not know where it was.

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
