Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Really nice 5 course tasting menu at Ting. The service was very good, the views spectacular and Jenny was a lovey host. The food was good and we started at a table a little away from the nicer views but for desert it was nice the team moved us into the window which was good of them, so service very good and food ok :-)

When you pay a premium , you should expect nothing but a flawless experience. The service from stepping foot through the revolving door was exceptional. Take a lift to a friendly reception and soak up the view. Our room had a fantastic view of the city, spacious and comfortable with first class amenities, if you fancy a swim then I would advise getting up a little earlier and booking the sky pool, again calm and relaxing with a great sauna and all with that view! Oh and don’t forget your key card otherwise you won’t be able to access the pool area…..I speak from experience Exceptional buffet breakfast, a really wide choice of quality foods. In the evening we also tried the Ting restaurant on the 35th floor, picking a 5 course set menu, and I have to say this was exceptional food and wine, brilliant from start to finish matched by a brilliant waiter. A high class experience in every way..

Carmelita was my server for the afternoon tea service and she did a wonderful job. She was very attentive and kind and helped choose the teas I had during the service. Each tea was very good. The staff were very accommodating and helped me switch to a window table when I requested. The seat I had had an amazing view of Tower Bridge and the Tower of London.

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Grand Hotel, and I must say, it was one of the best hotel experiences I have ever had. From the moment I walked into the lobby, I was greeted with warm smiles and impeccable service. The attention to detail and level of hospitality at this hotel truly sets it apart from others.

We have booked a Bee in the Bloom afternoon tea on April 17th. I must say that I have never had such a great experience. The staff was extremely friendly, Zoë welcomed us at Ting restaurant with the most genuine smile. Mary Joy, Jenny, Nicolai and Doona made sure we had the best experience. These guys are the truly meaning of customer service. I felt so welcomed by this team and my whole family felt the same. Congrats to Shangri-La, The Shard for keeping this amazing staff in its team. We had the best time! Thank you Mary, Jenny, Zoë, Nikolai and Doona.

Took my Wife for afternoon tea to celebrate her birthday. What can I say, what a perfect afternoon. Cakes, sandwiches, scones, tea and champagne, topped off with a wonderful luxurious atmosphere, amazing views over London. If that wasn’t enough the staff were amazing especially Freddy who looked after us, made sure we had a magnificent experience. Thank you Freddy and Shangri-La at The Shard.
