Staying on business might not be the best way to experience this hotel, if you are on holiday in London and looking for a quirky English b+b style hotel I would say go for it, but when you are working away, having en-suites as apposed to shared bathrooms really would be preferable. The room itself was clean although had Mis-matched...

Thanks for your review, which although you only gave us 3 stars explained quite well what we are like - although one correction, we do have ensuite rooms. The St. Athans Hotel is situated in a 200 year old Georgian Terrace townhouse - therefore many of the upper floors aren't level and there are many stairs - if you mobility...

I was recommended the St Athans by my mother who has recommended it to many of her friends. When I was traveling to London on my own this summer I was looking forward to having a "mom certified" home-base that was gentle on my travel budget. I booked a double room and for the small additional fee, I think it...

A convenient place to stay; clean comfortable rooms; no frills; staff friendly and helpful; walking distance to many of London's attractions. Stayed here while attending a graduation ceremony at SOAS. There is a very nice coffee-shop in the basement that serves a good breakfast.

Lovely little b&b very comfy beds, rooms are clean and tidy. Staff are very pleasant and friendly. Would highly recommend. There is always someone to let you in at night at whatever time. Great location a stone throw away from euston station and a small walk to oxford street. Nice little coffee shop under the b&b. Can not fault it....

I stayed with a friend four nights in this hotel. It is cleaner than I initially expected. The showers/toilets are shared but this is not a big issue. The rooms are small but acceptable for the price.

Just so you know for next time, we also have rooms with their own shower/toilet if that's important for you.

Firstly, I will say I don't think this should be considered a hotel, as bathrooms and showers are shared. It is like a b&b, but no breakfast or it could also be like a backpackers without the shared rooms. Our room was fairly small but larger enough to fit a double bed, full size wardrobe, a set or draws with...

We were able to get a room on the first floor since we had to carry our bag, which is a good thing not be over going over many stairs with luggage. Wifi was working pretty well, beds are comfortable, but the bathrooms are pretty small, and the shower too, it looks like a cruise size.Rooms were clean, with no...

I stayed in room 25 ( single with toilet) for three days. I could not get any sleep at all. My room is next to the public shower/bathroom and I could clearly hear noises up till 4:00 in the morning. The wall is super thin and the other guests were loud. Also, the hotel is very hot with no air....

We're sorry you had such a bad experience staying with us, we've never had any complaints about that room before. Each room has it's own radiator with a thermostatic valve that let's you adjust the temperature as you wish, so I can only imagine that the room was so hot because you did not know this, or ask us about...

St Athans was perfect for me. I was looking for a home base to recover from jet lag and do some work nearby. The staff was extremely welcoming, organized, and professional. My en suite room was bright and quiet. Comfortable bed, great breeze through the windows. The connected downstairs café was much appreciated: terrific coffee and breakfast. The location is...
