A very luxurious hotel, but not snooty. My first impression of the Mondrian has been really positive: amazing rooms with a terrific night sight on the City (check out the photo) and a very kind staff.

From checkin I couldn’t really fault this hotel.
It is clearly a high end place, no expense has been spared in the common areas and my superior room was exactly what I expected.
The room was very clean, modern and had everything I needed.

We hired the Sea Containers private room for our wedding dinner. Tiago helped us organising the event and was a fantastic support. The space was intimate and beautiful, and the food was out of this world. The only complaint would be there was so much,...More
We stayed one night in the Mondrian and loved it. The location looking over the river Thames on the south bank is superb. Walking distance to the many restaurants and dining oprions along the south bank. Also walking distance to the fabulous Borough Market area....More
All style no substance!!
On entering our room we found that it hadn’t been cleaned from the previous occupier. Dirty towels on the bathroom floor, half empty drinks on the desk.

Seductive and striking, Mondrian London at Sea Containers brings a bold new energy to London, blending the style and sophistication of the boutique brand with South Bank's eclectic vibe. Situated on the …Morebanks of the River Thames in the famed Sea Containers building, Mondrian London uniquely offers river view balcony suites directly on the Thames. Working with Design Research Studio under the creative direction of renowned British designer Tom Dixon, the hotel captures the essence of the original building, exuding 1920s cruise ship glamour integrated with the modern twists and sophisticated design for which the Mondrian brand is known. Guests will immediately be drawn to the giant, copper clad wall inspired by the hull of a ship, running from outside the building, through to the lobby and on to the river side of the hotel. Experience underwater tranquility and specialised treatments at agua Bathhouse & Spa, sample delicious British/American food using locally sourced ingredients at Sea Containers restaurant, where outdoor seating along the river walk is also available, and sample award winning, innovative cocktails from Mr. Lyan at Dandelyan - recently awarded World's Best Cocktail Menu (2016) at Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards and Best Bar Team in London, Time Out Bar Awards (2016) - with its iconic green marble bar and dramatic views of the Thames. The most striking of spaces is the hotel's rooftop bar, set on the 12th floor with its glass box structure and outdoor terrace, with panoramic views over London. Uniquely reflecting the urban feel of the South Bank neighbourhood, Mondrian London is within walking distance of landmarks such as Tate Modern, Royal Festival Hall, the National and Globe theatres, as well as Borough Market and the London Eye. Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and
festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.
