Seductive and striking, Mondrian London at Sea Containers brings a bold new energy to London, blending the style and sophistication of the boutique brand with South Bank's eclectic vibe. Situated on the banks of the River Thames in the famed Sea Containers building, Mondrian London uniquely offers river view balcony suites directly on the Thames. Working with Design Research Studio under the creative direction of renowned British designer Tom Dixon, the hotel captures the essence of the original building, exuding 1920s cruise ship glamour integrated with the modern twists and sophisticated design for which the Mondrian brand is known. Guests will immediately be drawn to the giant, copper clad wall inspired by the hull of a ship, running from outside the building, through to the lobby and on to the river side of the hotel. Experience underwater tranquility and specialised treatments at agua Bathhouse & Spa, sample delicious British/American food using locally sourced ingredients at Sea Containers restaurant, where outdoor seating along the river walk is also available, and sample award winning, innovative cocktails from Mr. Lyan at Dandelyan - recently awarded World's Best Cocktail Menu (2016) at Tales of the Cocktail Spirited Awards and Best Bar Team in London, Time Out Bar Awards (2016) - with its iconic green marble bar and dramatic views of the Thames. The most striking of spaces is the hotel's rooftop bar, set on the 12th floor with its glass box structure and outdoor terrace, with panoramic views over London. Uniquely reflecting the urban feel of the South Bank neighbourhood, Mondrian London is within walking distance of landmarks such as Tate Modern, Royal Festival Hall, the National and Globe theatres, as well as Borough Market and the London Eye.

Southbank
Big time attractions such as the London Eye and a thriving theatre scene (compliments of the National Theatre and the Young Vic) are but a few of the reasons that Southbank is such a collectively cherished part of town. With plenty of family friendly activities and venues lined up along a pedestrianized river bank between Westminster Bridge and Waterloo Bridge, visitors can always expect a casual and festive atmosphere. On top of all the fun stuff to do at Southbank is the opportunity to simply sit back and admire photo-op views of iconic landmarks like Parliament and St Paul's Cathedral, just on across the Thames.

Pre Christmas brunch with friends. Really lovely atmosphere, great menu with lots of choice and what we picked was lovely. We had bottomless brunch and service was good - glasses topped up, never needed to chase but also not overbearing. Dessert choice not as great as menu but st

I have nothing negative to say about the hotel or it's staff who went the extra mile for my daughter's bday (leaving a slice of cake in the room with a card - amazing!). The spa inside was welcome even just to use the steam room. It is located in the business district so if you

Dear Jenna O, Thank you for taking the time to leave your feedback. While I'm pleased to know you enjoyed your overall stay with us, I'm disappointed to know you didn't love our location on the South Bank! We do have lots of bars, traditional pubs and restaurants nearby and our Concierge team would've happily given you some recommendations. I hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back in the future. Warm regards, Sergio.

Hello Can anyone tell me which good restaurants or good takeaways are very close to the hotel please walking distance, just planning for New Year’s Eve early evening before we head out for the fireworks as the restaurant only has a set menu on that evening.Thank you.
A good restaurant is the wharf which is only a few steps from the mondrian. Good food and good prices.

We are considering this hotel for our first trip to London. Are the Hop On Hop Off bus stops close enough to walk to? It appears they run on the other side of river.
Hi Donna B, Thank you for your enquiry. The closest stops from us are St Paul's Cathedral and Westminster Bridge, both of which are around a 10 minute walk. I hope this helps! Warm regards, Sergio.

Is there car parking at the hotel
The hotel does not have a car park but the concierge do use a local underground car park at a charge of (I think) £30 per 24hrs when available.
