Stayed at this hotel to celebrate my friends wedding at beginning of November. Hotel was good in all aspects and had no problems during my stay. The problems have began since I checked out. Upon check in, an amount was held in pre-authorisation - standard practice for a hotel. I then settled my bill on check out - again, normal...

Dear Reviewer, I am sorry to hear about the trouble you have had with the pre-authorisation taken upon arrival. I can confirm that the hotel did automatically release this pre-auth upon departure. We did advise this can take up to five working days depending on your bank. Regretably it is completely within your bank's control as once we release this...

Check in at the grange took longer than expected due to the use of tablet computers at the front desk. The appearance of checking seems very swish at first glance, but in reality it proved to be a little clumsy and laboured compared to a traditional check in. I can't fault the rest of the hotel though, our room was...

Stayed over a weekend and have in the past used the two Grange hotels in the city but this is much better. It's a modern building and design with nice airy atriums and glass walkways. The rooms were a good size for London and well fitted out. It's about 30 seconds from St. Paul's and a couple of minutes to...

I have just spent 2 nights staying at this hotel. I booked 2 rooms for 6 people. One night being at the normal rate and the second night with the spa indulgence package (7th-9th November 2014) I checked in about 3.30pm and feel it was the slowest check in I’ve ever experienced. I then popped to the spa to book...

Stayed for one night on a Saturday in Nov. Check in/out was trouble-free, rooms comfy and of a good standard (we got a free upgrade to an Executive room) although our window was internal & looked down onto the hotel foyer which was a bit strange and lacked privacy without the curtains drawn. Breakfast taken at 9.30am on Sunday morning...

We have just returned from a two night weekend stay. Hotel is lovely and the staff were really helpful and friendly. I asked for a room on a higher floor and was given a 7th floor room with a view of the very top of St. Paul's. The location is superb as close to the tube. We got a good...

There are many good points for this hotel; the rooms are very nice, modern and stylish. The building is modern and well located…but :- It was not very good that they only came to make up the room at half past three in the afternoon, (nice person when they did come), the queue to checkout took more than 15 minutes...

We came to London to be here for Remberance Sunday and visited the Tower of London to see the Poppies yesterday. The Grange Hotel is conveniently situated to the locations and events, just a short walk from the tube. We have a fabulous view of St Pauls Cathedral and found room 427 very comfortable with soft fluffy pillows and a...

We stayed here for three nights, the location is excellent and the room was lovely. The staff were friendly and very helpful. I really enjoyed the spa facilities with pool and jacuzzi. Excellent value as booked through secret hotels.

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
