Was attacked and they did nothing! Horrible! Had to tap 1 star but actually zero! When attacked in their hotel they took me to another room where thought I’d be safe. Then asked for a further £40!!!! I’d already paid £80 for the night in a basic room with mouse traps in the corridors!
I had to leave my flat nearby to the Limegrove hotel due to urgent repairs to my flat. Manageress Joyce put me up for 3 nights, because of the Covid, she was very strict with me ,not allowing to go in and out, but she was professional and the service was excellent and the added bonus was that she served the cooked breakfast in the room.Thank you, Joyce, reminds me of my mum.
As a cheap (remarkably so for the West End) and convenient place to spend a night en route (or, perhaps in happier times, as a base for a longer visit to London) it could hardly have been better. Late check-in, warm and comfortable, the breakfast perhaps a bit limited but very tasty. Definitely a positive experience!
Despite the offer on TripAdvisor of £34 per night, the best deal I could get was £40. Friendly check in and a choice of two rooms, I opted for the top floor due to the double bed. What I didn't take into consideration was basic science, heat rises and it sure was hot in there. However, London is experiencing a heatwave of 32° + temperatures. The shower was a little walk down three small flights of stairs. I did get a small complimentary breakfast, which was a nice touch. The most annoying thing was that despite paying in cash for the room on the first night I still paid more than the special offer online. When I got back to my room there was two receipts on my table. My receipt and room 7's. Room 7 was £27.50. £12.50 cheaper than mine. A little bit of consistency and sticking to the online offer would help…
Thank you so much for the visit and Thank you for the great talk at the basement:)) The breakfast was very english and tasted very nice. The place was very central and made it very easy for us to see the whole London. Thank you
