I was lucky to had clean bed sheets, towels and has a bathroom, but I noticed some people had to used share bathroom. So, be sure to look carefully before booking. No elevator to this place, bed really suck big time.

Booked this hotel as close to Portabello road. We knew it was budget but its really shabby. Our room was in the basement, with a threadbare carpet. the bathroom had mildew and there was hardly room to sit on the toilet! All drainage ran down close to our window so it was noisy and the breakfast croissants were stale! The...

My wife and I booked this hotel as it was close to the Royal Albert Hall. We read the reviews beforehand, the good and the bad, but as it was getting close to the concert date we decided to risk it. With hindsight we should have paid more attention to the BAD reviews. We were led to an "en suite"...

I was there for 2 nights with 2 sisters and a toddler aged 2. The room consists of 2 double beds and is ensuite. The beds were comfortable . The cups that they give you for tea/coffee were bigger then you'd get in most places. Some of the staff were nice, others weren't. We did have 2 problems with the...

Do not book this hotel unless it is desperately your last and only choice. When we checked in, we were told that our room is on the fourth floor of another building. So we dragged six of our heavy suitcases to the building. When we entered, there wasn't a lift and we had to carried 25kg + bags up more...

Firstly I'd like to say how lovely the reception staff were. Location was also a benefit, Central London near to tube stations and many restaurants and shops. I'm not too sure wether we were unfortunate however with the room in which we had the misfortune in staying in. Yes there was a bed and comfy enough but the toilet and...

First of all, the staff are all very nice. The problem was the room. The bathroom was not only shabby, but smelly (drain) and with a shower that was downright dangerous. Extremely hot water - hard to regulate, so beware of letting children in there on their own. Tiles were broken, chips in toilet seat, crack in sink, peeling paint...

DO NOT BOOK. We accidentally booked one night short and were stuck. Given the location of this place we thought 1 night couldn't be too bad. It was. We first booked the quad room (as it was the only one available when we booked online) when we called to see if they had any other rooms we were told to...

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 3 days and we found the rate very reasonable. Besides the place is very ideal for someone who wants to explore London for the first time. The staff at the reception are exceptionally courteous and very helpful. Special mention to Da Sha Qurant, she is such a sweet person- she showed...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.
