The accomodation was basic & rather cramped and the smell both inside & outside the room was horrific. It actually made me physically sick. They also tried to charge me twice for the stay.

We stayed for one night while sightseeing in London. The room was fine, basic accommodation but very clean and with comfy twin beds. Shared bathroom and toilet right close by and very clean too. The accomodation is Student accomodation during term time so no TV in the room as it's not really aiming to be a Hotel as such. Breakfasts... More

I loved the area. It's located in the trendy Angel, wihch was bustling with life round the tube station 300mts away but really calm (apart from the main road noise), green and beautiful in the Rosebery Av. where the hall is. It's very well located for sightseeng as you have 3 bus routes which take you to the West End... More

Rosebery Hall is a great deal for those who want to stay near central london, but want to save money. We booked through travelstay and it cost 156 pounds for 2 people for 4 nights (19.50 a person per night) We booked last minute and this place was great for us. It is about a ten minute walk from Angel... More

Basic, clean accommodation. A little noisy, but hey, it's central London! The carpet in my room had a huge iron print on it, but it reminded me of my university days, it is a halls of residence, after all. The location is great, the staff were very helpful and the luggage room was secure and useful to have on my... More

Nice location near Angel station. Room functionally furnished, comfortable beds. Both shared facilities (toilet and shower) were very clean, and shared only with 3 (?) other guests. The shower drain was clogged, but it was not really a problem. No free internet.

I stayed for two nights. The room was rather small but clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable and I had a good nights rest. With a window to the court yard it was also very quiet as soon as the bar closed - and also ok before. The bathroom was rather far from my room, but also very clean.... More

Ok, Rosebery Hall sounds nice, and belonging to LSE which is quite a prestigious establishment would set you up to expect at least medium - high standards in terms of the condition of the place.... We stayed for 2 nights (me and wife) and our twin room was on the 7th floor, the halls reminded me of my own Uni... More

Alright, Im a student of Summer School and I chose to live here as it is the cheapest amongst all LSE halls. It is an average, 2 star kind of accommodation. You'd definately get the best sleep here, the rooms are cleaned everyday. The rooms are small, but that's how student accommodations are. It is good residence and I can... More

Rosebery Hall Residence is a marvellously comfortable and pretty central experience. Where else can you bump into 40 very lively Dutch visitors and have a copy of Paionios' Nike next door? Seriously though, this is a terrific bargain.

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
