Location is great however the hotel is horrible. I knew from the moment I stepped inside I wasn't going to like it. It is old fashioned, dark green striped wallpaper in the reception with dark wood everywhere, old fashioned doesn't bother me so much as log as it is clean. Wasn't greeted very well by reception, our room was based...

This hotel was truly a horrible experience! I stayed in a 3 bed bedroom with friends and it couldnt have been worse. The room was so small that we could fit all at the same time here (excep when in our beds). The bathroom was quite dirty and smelly. The stairs are so tiny that it was difficult to carry...

We arrived early evening and went to the double room, it was tiny, only enough room for one person to walk at the side of the bed at once, bathroom was very small and yes the room and facilities could do with up dating, but how much time are you really going to spend in the room, we booked for...

It is a dreadful hotel for longer than one night stay. The room was very tiny. There was no soap, shampoo etc. only one towel.A hole in the floor. Corridors dirty. No elevator, though the hotel decription does not inform about it. It was supposed to be a deal, when I booked in December. The deal, however, did not apply...

Tiny room. Hot room. Dirty room with big holes in the walls in the bathroom. Fixtures and fittings left a lot to be desired. Dirty bedding - obvious large stains on old worn-out comforter. Basement level room with windows to the street = loud. Only a two minute walk to King’s Cross station. It’s London. You get what you pay...

Room was very smal full of street noise. If you are wellbuilt, you won't take a shower. The reception area is full of Bulgarian staff talking among themselves, which is irritating. Breakfast was not satisfactory

Had a last minute booking and paid £80 for a bigger room downstairs at basement which was newly refurbished with private bathroom. The place is rather old, including all furnishing. Heating at basement was so so, but bathroom and everything else works fine. Breakfast place was rather small, but good enough for some hot toast, bacon and eggs. Overall, the...

I rang the hotel to cancel a booking once I explained the situation with the women on the phone she was really blunt and said I can't cancel it and hung up on me. What sort of company puts the phone down.. Not a professional one that's for sure. So after this I called back as I was still half...

I was booked to stay here for 2nights to attend a training course in London. Although most of the reviews were not great, the hotel was listed as having windows, tv, and tea facilities (unlike one of a same price that was looked at). I decided to ignore reviews and see how it was when I got there. My initial...

A colleague booked this hotel as we were at a meeting the following day in Holborn, which was decent walking distance. For £60 a night, single room, breakfast included, I didn't expect a lot. The room was basic, somewhere to lay your head, it was noisy from the street activity, due to old fashioned single glazing metal windows. With it...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.
