Definitely not worth the rating of a 5 star hotel I am afraid. Room ok, nice sized good quality flat screen tv, but it ends about there! Furniture chipped and scratched. Carpet quite obviously not vacuumed after previous occupancy, air conditioning unit the noisiest I have ever heard. Woken on both morning by the bottles being emptied outside at 06:00 Room not cleaned, replenished between Friday night and Saturday night. Glasses not washed, teabags and milk not replaced. Breakfast was very poor, tepid and again not replenished often enough, coffee out of an urn, weak and tepid. Again furniture chipped and scratched. We asked at the Concierge if they had any non-dairy Milf and we were initially told that there were local shops where we could buy some!! They did however after we came back in the evening give us a glass of soya milk! I would not recommend this hotel if you are after 5 star service I am afraid.

Amazing hideaway right off Oxford Street (and Oxford Circus). Staff was lovely, welcoming and made us feel at home, especially Mr. Ramadan who was Amazing and took exceptional care of all that we needed. Reception and concierge staff were also lovely! Even managed to take an hour"s dip in the pool. Breakfast was also very good and more than we needed to kickstart our days. Not our first time, definitely not our last, certain to stay here again when in London. Thanks Courthouse!🙏🥂

Myself my wife and 1 year old daughter had a very good experience here and we owe a big thank you to The staff - we stayed a few weeks back and yes the location is perfect and the facilities (nice rooms, comfy beds , good air con , lovely swimming pool) was perfect can not fault any of it. But it was the staff that made our stay so special, all very polite , always smiling and happy to help and in particular vesilina , vesilina really went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect , we loved it that much we have booked to come back again in December and once again vesilina has made sure that our stay will be perfect again! We have stayed in London once a year for my wife’s birthday and have done for the last 9 years , this was our first time in this hotel and it will be our go to hotel now Thank you to you all and once again a big thank you to vesilina

I used to stay at this hotel loads but haven’t been here for about 8 years. My usual hotel was full so I thought I’d try here. It has gone downhill but not quite as bad as some of the reviews. Positives Staff pleasant Room acceptable. Clean , and comfy bed. Superb location right in heart of soho and 1 minute from regent street. Fresh fruit at breakfast . Water and tea and coffee in room. Negatives. Expensive. I paid £365 so really would expect a little better at this high price. ( in defence , London hotels are expensive at the mo). Breakfast poor for a 5 star hotel. Fresh fruit the highlight but otherwise a reasonably cheap buffet. Nicely presented and plenty of it but dull sliced bread, pre prepared muffins, cheese slices. Flasks of coffee. Room key kept cutting out so had to go down twice to have re set. Wi fi kept cutting out in my room so don’t expect to work from your room! I went to look for the pool but couldn’t find it! The receptionist assured me it was still there! I had a bath but couldn’t work out how to move tsp settings from bath to shower. This was not obvious. I would stay here again because of the location but wouldn’t be rushing back at that price. The staff did try hard but it must be difficult for them with an overpriced product. £200 would be an acceptable rate not £365! I think some of the reviews are a little over the top, but it’s certainly not as good as it used to be

Went with friends for cocktails. Had to go up to the bar to find out if it was serving. The barman was in a T-shirt and took our orders. There was no menu or price list. The Old Fashioned was made with lime not orange….Argh. The other cocktails were indifferent. Had to pay at the bar when we ordered so not very trusting or geared up for more drinks. Nearly £80 for five drinks. No nibbles. No finesse. Slovenly disinterested barman. Asked for a receipt but did not get one. Had to go to the bar at the end to get one. No smile. No acknowledgment. All this for the same price as the cocktail bar at Langham’s. Absolutely dire.

Stayed at this hotel for 4 nights... Where to start... I'm not used to staying at 5 star hotels, but this place was awash with oddness....... 1. The decor... It looks like a thrift shop... A weird combo of middle Eastern, South East Asian and French opulence.... Its definitely a hotel with an identity crisis 2. Went through 4 different key cards during my stay because they ceased to work when I returned to my room 3. The staff member at breakfast locking the doors 10 minutes early before breakfast closed... Was sad (but rather humorous) to watch paying guests refused brekkie. 4. The same breakfast where I waited 15 minutes for a plate to help myself to the worst scrambled eggs in my life. 😂 5. The house keeping staff who knocked on our door 30 minutes before check out. 6. The bar lobby was possibly the most soulless vacuous places I have spent time in. 7. The rooftop bar that has 3 toilet cubicles, one without a lock. 8. The same rooftop bar bartender who wore a hoodie up and a cap. 9. The weathered decor of the rooms. That said, the beds and pillows were incredibly comfortable. Location right in soho was perfect tkk. Concierge at the front desk was very nice as was the night shift guy who came up and fixed my TV. One of the strangest hotel experiences of my life. Save yourself some money and book a Premier Inn.

I regret that your expectations were not entirely satisfied on this occasion. Our décor is down to personal taste, some love it, others don’t but that is a subjective opinion. It was great to see that you like beds, pillows and location – all very important factors for a hotel. Nice too that you appreciated some of the team members and we will let them know. We might not be a Premier Inn but we have one of the greatest locations in town and a determination to improve if and when things don’t go to plan. Please accept my apologies for any inconvenience and embarrassment which may have been caused. On the next occasion you require London hotel accommodation in the future please contact us when you are assured that every effort will be made to ensure that you have the opportunity of witnessing the high standards of services and facilities more usually associated with our hotel. With apologies once more and assuring you of our best attention, I remain, Yours sincerely,

I had been staying here for one night on a recent business trip, I was woken at 5am by something touching my arm, much to my horror I had realised it was a mouse and had obviously ran down my arm and was over the other side of the room. Very traumatic experience and also no other room offered to me at this hour of the morning. I was told by the staff member to “keep the lights on and make noise” so the mouse won’t come back out while I got ready. Shocking service and conditions for a “5 star hotel”

Dear Klcy4x, Thank you for choosing to stay in Courthouse hotel Soho. I write following your recent stay at the Courthouse Hotel and note your comments relating to “mouse”. I confirm that following your report third party pest controllers were called to the hotel and their report indicates that there are absolutely no traces of mouse. As a Company we take these matters extremely seriously and as a precaution all of our premises are inspected on a regular basis by third party pest controllers Assuring you of our best attention, I remain, Yours sincerely,

I have often stayed at the Courthouse in Shoreditch which is of a very high standard and very friendly, so I was keen for us to stay here for our trip to the West End to see a show. I was then regretting our booking as we had spotted some poor reviews, but we didn't need to be at all concerned. The room was quiet, spacious and clean with a fridge and tea and coffee available, and the bathroom was nicely done and clean, perfect for our stay. The staff were also friendly and helpful. We are frequent travellers, so we have had many hotel breakfasts over the years, and we felt the hotel offered a good selection with something for everyone, although not luxurious as some might have expected for the price. It was a great location and our room was quiet.

We visited the hotel in August 2022 and were extremely disappointed with our stay. We have never stayed in a hotel that is meant to be 5 star and it is so run down and staff were appalling. We paid for a suite for the night with our 4 year old daughter. It was her birthday weekend and we were going to the theatre. We paid over £500 for the night and we were shocked at the state of the suite. Lack of staff so the bar was closed. Lobby was left dirty with glasses and rubbish just left. The list goes on and on. It was dirty, tatty, literally everything was broken or falling apart. We informed the manager and she was defensive, rude and unhelpful. She was unable to make any decisions without speaking with anyone more senior. If it wasn’t for us having our 4 year old daughter with us and it being her birthday, we would have left the hotel immediately. We couldn’t bath our daughter due to the plug being broken and the water not holding. The air con was shocking. It was a very hot weekend when we arrived. My daughter tripped over their ripped carpet in the bedroom, the shower had mould all around it and no power to even shower. Their were previous rubbish and belongs from other customers. The room clearly had not been cleaned. Management were disgusting and intimidating. I sent a complaint to Emma Farcas and Saurabh Dewan, who are meant to be the guest relation managers. Their responses were so delayed and they didn’t even respond to me when I requested a copy of their complaints procedure. Still to this day, they have not responded. Absolutely disgusting customer service and failed us as customers in several ways. I wish we had read the other trip adviser reviews before booking. Had we done this, we would never have chosen this hotel. Please avoid this hotel as it really ruined our weekend in London. The managers are not interested in providing good customer service or responding to complaints. I’ve added some photos, however some of them do not show just how bad it was. I was only able to add 10!

Dear M Smith, Hope you are well and we do apologise for the delay in getting back to you I thank you for taking the time to write following your recent stay at the Courthouse Hotel. We at Courthouse Hotel are anxious to ensure that the highest standards of facilities and personal services are provided to our guests and your valued response assists us in our efforts to achieve I believe, you are seeking a refund because you claim the air conditioning in the first room you occupied was not operating and the carpet was ripped to which we are puzzled ourselves as the room has been occupied before your stay on many occasions and we had no problems and each room is checked by housekeeping and maintenance team prior to guest occupying. Whilst I appreciate you clearly have concerns about the room you were given and your stay overall, I understand that at the first instance you raised your concerns we offered another solution namely you were offered an alternative room which was accepted i.e. the penthouse of the hotel as a gesture of our goodwill. During your stay England experienced record temperatures resulting in a National Emergency being declared. Since this was an unprecedented situation, we were not alone in experiencing difficulties as air conditioning systems across the country, being designed for a much lower ambient temperature struggled to cope. In view of this situation, we purchased a portable air conditioning unit and place it in your room to try and make it more comfortable for you As far as I know, you did not further request that we renew the offer. You also had the option of checking out. However, to stay for the night then request a refund is not reasonable, whilst I appreciate you clearly have concerns about the rooms you were given and your stay overall. In the meantime, assuring you of our best attention I remain,
