There was no bathroom door, instead was a plastic courtain that even reach the floor. If you opened the couch that served as a bed there was no room to go to the bathroom, and you hace to put your luggage on the bed un order to be un the room. All the publicity is decieving. The people wasn't at...

This is a small shabby "Hotel", don't let the pictures fool you however it's located in the coziest street, Villiers street - close to Trafalgar square, Charing cross station, Big Ben, westminister abbey, London Eye and much more. This is the place for you if you don't want to spend more time in your room than necessary.

Although my partner and I checked in late at night, the service responded quickly in order to have us in the room as soon as possible. The room was small, but well equipped and was in an excellent location. We didn't have much street noise despite the location being on a busy street. I would stay here again.

Agree with everyone funny smell when ya come upstairs. Our room was a bedsit with 2 sofa beds that pulled out to make a bed. The shower/toilet are together and ya can touch the wall where the shower is whilst on the toilet there is no seperate bit just a hole in floor for water. The whole room is a...

The apartment that we were given for the weekend was definitely not as shown on the website. The twin room was a double bed and a settee, not what was stated. The floor in the bathroom was all wet and lifting due to the shower leaking. The bathroom door did not close and the floor was absolutely filthy. The bedding...

Like the other reviewers, the Villiers Tokyo Studio Apartments leave much to be desired. They did a terrific job with the professional photos, but the reality of the room we stayed in (1C) did not in any way at all match what we saw on the website. First the good: 1) Location is absolutely perfect -- access to Embankment and...

I agree with most of the other reviewers rating this as terrible. You have to get past the drinkers outside of the pub downstairs to get in first, then you are hit with the unpleasant smell in the hall. The room was tiny with an overbearing air freshner to cover up the obvious musty, stale smokers smell (the millions of...

OK, so I should have check Tripadvisor before booking, but I needed somewhere at short notice. This place should not be allowed to trade. They had thoughtfully left the window open as it was a hot day in London. Sadly, they had not thought to remove the putrid rotting remains of a dead pigeon right outside the window, so I...

The minute you enter the musty dark hallway your heart sinks a little. This place is a kip. The room itself is not clean, everything is broken( cupboards, toilet door) . The linen not thoroughly clean...hairs in the duvet. The wifi worked briefly for one night though we paid for 3. This place was expensive..we paid ( in full, ahead of...

Staying in Trafalgar Square / Embankment

Neighbourhood Profile
Trafalgar Square / Embankment
With its iconic Nelson’s Column, majestic oversized lions and brightly-lit fountains, Trafalgar Square is not just considered the heart of this bustling London hub, but the very core of the city itself. Beyond this esteemed gathering place are more famous icons, as well as a disproportionate numbers of the city’s most popular cultural attractions including the National Gallery and many West End theaters. Along the way to these major sites are quiet lanes and antiquated pubs to discover, as well as riverside vistas to enjoy on the embankment. With a calendar full of celebratory events, any time of year is a fine time to visit.
