What a lovely hotel. Great atmosphere, really welcoming staff and exceptionally comfy bed. Breakfast was a little disappointing with very limited gluten free options but other than that all super. Defo recommend.

I have to preface this by saying I don't usually like British or European hotels. My experiences have often resulted in cramped confines, with few amenities, and lacking attentive service. Not the case here. Even though we had a basement room (they have a nicer term, which escapes me), it was a great space. Very quiet, which helps when adapting...

This elegant hotel occupies a number of stuccoed houses in Notting Hill Gate just around the corner from the tube station. The room we had was spacious, light and well equipped and overlooked the street. Despite this it was quiet. The breakfast was taken in a small restaurant or in the library. The continental choice was a little limited but...

Two friends and I stayed at the Laslett for about a week and found it to be a great little gem in Notting Hill. The hotel is made up of a number connected town houses. The rooms are modern and a bit funky. The large rooms have a sleeping alcove that worked great for us. There is a pleasant living...

We stayed here one night while traveling back home through London from Italy. The rooms are very stylishly done and modern. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was nice. The location is good for a walk to grab something to eat (lots of choices) and it is a short cab ride to Piccadilly to get the Heathrow Express....

This hotel was a wonderful location for us. The service was good and the design was fantastic. The only downside was a tiny room though it had been renovated in as great a way as possible. While we had seen a tub on the website, our bathroom did not have space for one.

Five classic London row houses, joined on the inside to make one hotel. It's small, only about 50 rooms, but with a small restaurant and a nice lounge/library and bar. The rooms are small, yet functional, and very quiet. We slept quite well here. The bathroom was had a great shower with the classic English fixtures. The hotel is in...

We stayed here for a week during our first visit to London. Great location near Notting Hill Tube Station. Down side being that near a station is the volume of occasional drunk people loudly crawling out of it during weekend nights. But, that's what the big city is about! The room was a tad smaller than I expected, but it...

This hotel is quite new and has been created by joining lots Victorian townhouses together, which makes it different from most hotels. It is very modern in terms of interiors, has great artwork and very friendly helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again, oh and I love the amenities and bathrobes.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set across five handsome Victorian townhouses, The Laslett is more home than hotel, with rooms that look and feel as though they could be straight out of a stylish friend's townhouse. The Laslett is less than a minute from Notting Hill Gate underground station and perfectly placed to tap into the local scene. The dynamic ground floor at The Laslett is more neighbourhood hangout than hotel lobby - incorporating a curated British library, walls of art, the Henderson bar and coffee shop serving a menu that evolves throughout the day, and a 'shop' showcasing our collaborations with designers and artists. Each of 51 guest rooms and suites feature curated artwork and classic books, along with our much coveted 'Big Bar' filled with craft beers and locally sourced treats. Rain showers and full-sized REN bathroom products complete the bathrooms, whilst the bedrooms balance comfort and style, with luxury linens and blankets alongside desks and USB charging points. Modern British furniture sits alongside vintage collectables, handpicked from auctions and the antique dealers of Portobello, whilst bespoke lighting, specially-commissioned design pieces and eclectic curiosities complete the unique and comfortable atmosphere. ... more   less
