We stayed overnight on Saturday 18/2. We chose the location because we were going to an event in Portabello Road on the Sunday. The location is excellent being very close to Notting Hill Underground Station. The welcome upon arriving was again excellent with all staff being extremely pleasant and helpful. The hotel is set within a lovely Georgian building and...

I have spent 7 nights in this little Hotel located in Notting Hill ( just 20 meters by walk from the metro station). I have to say that I could not ask for more to this structure. I stayed here with my girlfriend and I was searching for something different from the same old Hotels of Piccadilly etc ( such...

Stayed for one night in a double room (not the 'spare double' which is the cheapest). Hotel location is excellent, literally a few steps from Notting Hill Gate tube station and a short walk from many pubs & restaurants as well as Portobello Road. The hotel is smart and characterful, and all the staff we dealt with were very pleasant...

Stayed here for two nights on a mini-break to London and wanted to stay in Notting Hill. The hotel is in a good location right next to the tube station and is an ideal base for a weekend visit. We stayed in a master double and the room was of a good size with all brand new fittings. would definitely...

The hotel is situated on the small, really beautiful street. It is really close to the tube station. There are many nice restaurants, cafes and shops around. The design of the hotel is modern and exceptional. We stayed in the superior room and it was a really good choice. The room was really big, with a bathtub and really, really...

This was the first time we stayed at the Laslett. And we liked it. Not a huge hotel, though not tiny either, very caring staff, but not to caring, giving the guests space, and a good location if you want to be in Notting Hill. Literary around the corner is the underground station and then there's buses on the main...

The Laslett is a few strides away from a metro station and in a lively yet peaceful area of London. There are plenty of cafes in close proximity (Paul's, EAT and Pret A Manger) and nice restaurants, which is a big plus because the coffees and breakfast at The Laslett, although lovely, are pricey. Some rooms are better than others...

Thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Laslett. Very convenient location in Notting Hill - just off the main Notting Hill Gate Road (5 mins to Portobello, Hyde Park, etc.) yet very quiet. Rooms are modern and spacious with a great bonus amenity of having the smartphone to take with you during the day. Breakfast was fantastic with a great continental...

Wanted to try something else than the typical Kensington/Bayswater tourist/business hotels. Tried The Laslett. Wise choice! Great rooms, modern but still very practical. Great location, 100 meters from Notting Hill Tube. But still quiet and relaxed. Breakfast modern and outstanding. Staff extremely pleasant but still down to earth. It's a 5-star hotel so it is not actually cheap. But absolutely...

We have a wonderful 1 night stay for a family of 5 pax. The rooms feel like a home apartment and very well designed and decorated. Locating about 120m away from Notting Hill subway station is great, and being near to Portobello Market is a major plus! Wish we could stay longer.

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set across five handsome Victorian townhouses, The Laslett is more home than hotel, with rooms that look and feel as though they could be straight out of a stylish friend's townhouse. The Laslett is less than a minute from Notting Hill Gate underground station and perfectly placed to tap into the local scene. The dynamic ground floor at The Laslett is more neighbourhood hangout than hotel lobby - incorporating a curated British library, walls of art, the Henderson bar and coffee shop serving a menu that evolves throughout the day, and a 'shop' showcasing our collaborations with designers and artists. Each of 51 guest rooms and suites feature curated artwork and classic books, along with our much coveted 'Big Bar' filled with craft beers and locally sourced treats. Rain showers and full-sized Neal's Yard bathroom products complete the bathrooms, whilst the bedrooms balance comfort and style, with luxury linens and blankets alongside desks and USB charging points. Modern British furniture sits alongside vintage collectables, handpicked from auctions and the antique dealers of Portobello, whilst bespoke lighting, specially-commissioned design pieces and eclectic curiosities complete the unique and comfortable atmosphere. ... more   less
