Five classic London row houses, joined on the inside to make one hotel. It's small, only about 50 rooms, but with a small restaurant and a nice lounge/library and bar. The rooms are small, yet functional, and very quiet. We slept quite well here. The bathroom was had a great shower with the classic English fixtures. The hotel is in...

We stayed here for a week during our first visit to London. Great location near Notting Hill Tube Station. Down side being that near a station is the volume of occasional drunk people loudly crawling out of it during weekend nights. But, that's what the big city is about! The room was a tad smaller than I expected, but it...

This hotel is quite new and has been created by joining lots Victorian townhouses together, which makes it different from most hotels. It is very modern in terms of interiors, has great artwork and very friendly helpful staff. I would definitely stay here again, oh and I love the amenities and bathrobes.

Arrived in late November. Excellent location 2 minutes walk from Notting Hill Tube and a 30 minute walk to the west end and 10 minutes to Portobello Road. The Laslett is a small oasis, super comfortable rooms and very quiet. The restaurant, bar and room service are very good and cocktails fab. I will be back later this year as...

This hotel was perfect for a long couples weekend. On the border of Notting Hill and Kensington - a block off Portabello Road market, close to great pubs and restaurants in both neighborhoods. Underground stop just outside front door on central line to get into city center. We stayed in one of the lower level suites - did not bother...

We stayed at the Laslett for the first time. It is right next to the notting Hill tube station so it is terribly convenient. The rooms are modern, with muted grey and beiges. It is beautifully designed. The rooms on the front of the hotel are bright. The suites have floor to ceiling windows. The breakfast is ample and you...

A great little boutique hotel in Notting Hill. Great staff, great location -- just steps to the Underground station at Notting Hill Gate and the Portobello market. It was quiet (huge for me). My room was tiny, but it was all I needed. The bathroom was spacious and had a great shower. The room had great temperature control, so I...

It's interesting when you stay in a hotel like this between other stays in hotels that are just OK. It comes down attention to detail and the small things that all come together to make a great experience. For example, out of the four hotels I stayed in on this trip (all major chains apart from this one) this one...

Staying in Notting Hill

Neighbourhood Profile
Notting Hill
As West London's friskiest corner, Notting Hill more than manages to retain plenty of the same appeal that's brought the affluent area so much worldwide attention. In this attractive cobblestoned neighbourhood, a delectable variety of eateries, independent shops, galleries and street vendors offer a delightful window into how to live the good life in London, with each presenting visitors with an experience that's a little more idiosyncratic and endearing than the last. Travelers looking to forage for antiques should be sure to visit the Portobello Road Market on Saturdays, the largest antiques market in the United Kingdom.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Set across five handsome Victorian townhouses, The Laslett is more home than hotel, with rooms that look and feel as though they could be straight out of a stylish friend's townhouse. The Laslett is less than a minute from Notting Hill Gate underground station and perfectly placed to tap into the local scene. The dynamic ground floor at The Laslett is more neighbourhood hangout than hotel lobby - incorporating a curated British library, walls of art, the Henderson bar and coffee shop serving a menu that evolves throughout the day, and a 'shop' showcasing our collaborations with designers and artists. Each of 51 guest rooms and suites feature curated artwork and classic books, along with our much coveted 'Big Bar' filled with craft beers and locally sourced treats. Rain showers and full-sized REN bathroom products complete the bathrooms, whilst the bedrooms balance comfort and style, with luxury linens and blankets alongside desks and USB charging points. Modern British furniture sits alongside vintage collectables, handpicked from auctions and the antique dealers of Portobello, whilst bespoke lighting, specially-commissioned design pieces and eclectic curiosities complete the unique and comfortable atmosphere. ... more   less
