Quirky..mad...love the decor..the place is obviously loved by the owners...food great..staff v friendly..what a find! Great antidote to soulless chains and try hard Gastro pubs...and the jazz was pretty cool too! Had the sharing plates and a few cocktails on a Saturday afternoon...tasty and generous portions...huge fan!

Better than most 4 star "would be" hotels in the centre of Londen, where hardworking Eastern European youngsters get 2.5 gbp per hour plus the daily reprimande from their "superiors"... a visit here comes with a personal touch, from people whi sincerely wish you have a pleasant stay.

The food was OK but it was very noisy from loud music played and there were dogs (owners) roaming around looking for food even although there was a sign that said 'Don't feed the Dogs'. There are better eating places around Lords Cricket Ground

Stayed for a couple of nights while on a business trip to London wanting something a bit different from usual hotel chains. Good central London location close to transport and Lord's, conformable room with nice homely touches of sweet jars. Good if slightly more expensive food menu but worth it and good selection of beers and very well run pub!... More

Went for Sunday Lunch with friends. Thought it was something special as had looked it up on the Internet and was very impressed with the write up. However, very disappointed. Only choice of beef and chicken for the Sunday roast (internet said choice of 4 meats). Waiter didn't understand much English and didn't know anything about the menu i.e what... More

Booked accomodation for one night at this pub due to its proximity to Lords Cricket Ground which we were visiting the following day. Pleasantly surprised as the area was residential and quiet and first impressions of the pub were good and the staff courteous and helpful. Our room was spotlessly clean and had complimentary tea and coffee and sweets and... More

Had to stay in London for an early start, this place is tucked away from the hussle and bussle. It was very clean and the rooms were well appointed. Only slight downside is the pub is pretty noisy at night and can be heard from the room and my tap was leaky which was slightly annoying when trying to sleep.... More

Don't waste your money on the food here, we went with 3 friends for dinner and it was very disappointing. We found 'dog' hairs on the cutlery and the food arrived tasted as though it had been put through the microwave and didn't taste freshly cooked, The cost of the food was a rip off for such poor quality produce.... Went back to the UK with my daughter for a few days relaxation. We chose the New Inn as we lived in the area previously. In short, the place was very nice. Rooms were comfortable and the atmosphere was that of a real Pub, which in SJW is in short supply. Easy to get around whether taking the bus or... More

This is a warm friendly place to stay a few minutes from Regents Park and the Regent Canal. Our room was large and well decorated, had tv and coffee making facilities. We stayed there last week and liked it so much we went back this week. The New Inn calls itself a boutique hotel and a gastropub, but I think... More
