Detailed Reviews
We stayed here for 5 nights while visiting London. Location was fantastic - a short 1 block walk to Kings Cross and T Pancras Stations which have great links to get you almost anywhere easily.
The room was small but clean. The biggest problem was the lack of air as it was very hot during our visit and no aircon made it uncomfortable, even though we were provided a small upright fan. Also the lack of air circulation meant the bathroom was constantly wet, our towels did not dry and nor did clothes that we washed overnight.
However the main reason for the poor rating was the staff. Of the 4 front desk staff we encountered, only one broke a smile and said more than 3 words to us. The very unfriendly German lady who was usually on the front desk was very unhelpful as well as unfriendly. When I asked for fresh towels because ours were still very wet due to the lack of circulation in the room, she refused and it wasn’t until I insisted that she very unwillingly fulfilled the basic request.
A great hotel location wise, but not in summer and don’t expect a smile or any help.

A comfortable overnight stay at this hotel. The location was super handy for arriving via train at Euston station. The hotel and room were clean and the staff were friendly. We stayed in a twin room which although compact was great with complimentary slippers, tea and coffee making facilities and the most comfortable hotel bed I’ve had in ages. The sound proofing was also good. Its location is very handy for the underground and only a few stops from theatre land and Oxford street shopping. Great value for money I would highly recommend for a short stay in London

I had a two day trade show nearby and as there are plenty of options around, there is always the careful balance of price versus quality.
The HW overall was good value. The staff were friendly. I was on the top floor with no lift so plenty of stairs which may put some off but I was fine with it. The rooms were surprisingly good. Nice bed, enough storage and a safe. Not the biggest but that is to be expected. Sink was in the room which I've not had for a while but was no issue. The walk in shower had plenty of hot water (once you let it run for a bit).
Negatives. I used the shower gel, tea and milk on my first night and they were not replaced yet my room had clearly 'been made up'. Thought this very odd. The duvet was possibly too higher tog for the time of year. However, I slept soundly regardless.
There was a grumble of machine noise every so often which I couldn't pin down but it was no big deal either. Finally, I had to open all the windows on a relatively cool day, I fear how hot it would get on that rare hot day in London.
So close to full marks for the money and I will use the HW again as long as it offers this value. I have stayed along this road before and had a terrible night, so I am glad this little street near Kings Cross has redeemed my faith.

We were in London to celebrate a birthday and retirement, and stopped for two nights at the weekend.
The hotel was very clean and recently refurbished. The rooms were well looked after and the bed was very comfy and cleaned daily. Tea coffee and a shower room plenty of storage. The rooms were small but we're great for what we wanted. The towels supplied were so fluffy not what I expected and we're better than supplied in much more expensive rooms we have stopped in.
5min walk from Kings Cross so a brilliant location to get around London.
The reception was manned 24 hrs and all the staff were brilliant. They all were friendly and interested in what we were in London for and recommending places for breakfast and to visit. I have visited London for many years and with a few hours to spare on the last day the lady recommended the canal area behind the station, we never knew it existed. We had a great time looking at the stalls in the market and visited a bar for breakfast. The posh part of Kings Cross.
The hotel will store luggage on your last day to be collected later.
Thank you the Howard Winchester.

Two friends and I stayed in a family room. It had everything we needed at a very reasonable price: tea/coffee facilities, comfy beds, hanging space, a small but perfectly clean and functional bathroom. It's pretty much across the road from King's Cross and there are plenty of cafes and pubs around. Would definitely stay here again! I should also point out it has been refurbished since the photos on here were taken. It's now much more modern and appealing.

My partner and I stayed here for 3 nights in June 2022 and we loved it.
Being a 3 minute walk from St Pancras this hotel is an ideal spot to get around London as quick and easy as possible. The room was clean and had everything we needed and the staff were all kind and friendly. The room was abit small but all in all we felt we received great value for money and had stayed at the ideal place for an adventurous city trip.

Lovely little hotel, just a few minutes walk across the road from Kings Cross train station. Friendly staff, clean rooms. Comfortable and quiet with own bathroom, tea/coffee making facilities in the room too. Great check in (1pm) and check out (11am) times and we were even allowed to leave our luggage there after we checked out, before we headed home allowing us to look around London luggage free fora fee hours! Will definitely stay again when I'm in London 🙂

We specifically picked this hotel as it is very close to Kings X where we arrived and left London so carrying suitcases was kept to a minimum. Also Kings X is an excellent starting point for anywhere in London. As the hotel is very reasonably priced we weren't expecting much but were pleasantly surprised, everything was new and very tastefully done. Yes, the rooms are small but that wasn't a problem, we were only in there for sleeping. The shower is WONDERFUL, the bed comfy, the WiFi fairly reliable and the street is quiet. The staff were all very pleasant. I would stay again in a heartbeat.

The guy at reception was very gracious and let us check in early so we could sleep. It sped downhill from there, first he came and kicked us out of the room he had put us in, after I’d already gotten in bed! Followed us around the room as we tried to pack up, even came and stood in the bathroom doorway as I was in there getting organized, it was so uncomfortable. Then he put us in a room in the basement which had no ventilation and smelled like mildew. I asked for a room out of the basement and then had to pay 120£ more for a room at ground level. The best part is the toilet and shower are all one, so the water runs all around the toilet, so incredibly disgusting and the shower is covered in mildew. Total mess. Extremely loud because of construction across the street. Buyer beware!! If you do book here, don’t book online and be sure that your room is on an upper floor.

Good basic hotel in a quiet street, and still only a 2 minute walk to King's Cross station. You can see that it has been recently renovated and, although the room was small, it was still comfortable and featured a Smart TV, a safe and a kettle with tea and coffee. The price we paid, in the context of central London, was reasonable. It could easily have been worthy of a five star review but for two major issues: first, the room did not have air conditioning, which is incomprehensible in this day and age. Even in late October, the room was very warm and we had to ask for a fan (which as kindly provided). I wouldn't dream of staying there in the summer. The other issue was the bathroom, which was a windowless cubicle with a very flimsy plastic door with gaps all around. If you're staying with someone else, be prepared as privacy will be very limited and you will be seen and heard from the bedroom. Overall, as I said, a good hotel but I would not recommend it unless you're staying solo and in the winter.

They let me and others leave bags in small lobby near front desk before & after check in or out times. Although no early check-in time was officially offered, when I arrived, my room was empty & ready and they let me check in early. This was not at all guaranteed but was great. Staff was very helpful in everything that they could provide
Yes there is someone who is waiting 24 hours.
The room we had was very clean, we certainly didn't see any mold and all the sockets that we used work. I've stayed here twice and can't fault it for the price and location.
Certainly no ventllation. We couldn't open our basement window.
