As usual, in Europe/UK, the rooms were very, very small. The bathroom, however, was quite nice and the shower almost exotic for EU standards! This hotel is in an excellent location: easy ride on The Tube from LHR, off at Earl's Court, and 1/2 block walk. Lots of restaurants, bars, markets/grocery, etc. The hotel is on the quiet end of...

First, the 30-something, Caucasian guy with black rimmed glasses at the front desk needs some customer service training. I booked a room via Booking.net off a link from Trip Advisor and booked a twin room. When we arrived it was not a twin room but more like a queen or king bed. The guy at the desk, just said we...

The price is very fair and the hotel is well located (a few mins walk to nearest tube stop). We found the service to be very friendly and the room was clean and well presented. We would definitely book it again!

It is a great place to stay for solo travel as the location is very convenience from the airport and to other attractions. It is very easy to find the hotel as well from the tube station. When I checked in, the guy is very friendly and upgraded me to a bigger room with microwave and small fridge. He even...

We stopped here after getting a last minute deal off the internet, and needed a location close to the Royal Albert Hall. Having paid just over £40 each for two single rooms, we weren't expecting a lot, but as it was just for one night we weren't really bothered. But the hotel exceeded our expectations, firstly we were both upgraded...

We stayed at The Jade for 6 nights. We usually stay near Earl's Court and our regular hotel was under renovation so we had to try somewhere new. The Jade was clean and nice... but very, very small. The staff was super friendly and nice. There is someone at the desk 24/7 and always greeted us with a smile. They...

I stayed here for two nights. The room is very small but clean, comfortable and looks far better then one would expect from a relatively cheap hotel. I did have a room at the back where you can hear the train passing by (nothing though that a set of earplugs can fix). The location is very close to a tube...

This is the perfect place for someone who will be out and about during the day. The rooms are small, butvery clean, the bed comfortable, and a very short walk to the Earl's Court tube station. You had everything you needed for a visit -- a tiny kitchenette with a fridge, microwave, tea kettle, etc.. I was in a basement...

Staying in South Kensington

Neighbourhood Profile
South Kensington
With its ivied mews, row upon row of Poppins-esque white washed mansions, and placid garden squares, it's easy to see the charms of South Kensington. And with superb access to Hyde Park, Holland Park and Kensington Gardens, as well as the largely child-friendly and mostly free Museum Quarter (not to mention more major attractions like Royal Albert Hall) such charms are easy to make the most of. As welcoming and cosmopolitan as it is reserved and residential, South Kensington is always a hit with visitors.
