Only 1 stop from Liverpool st station this place is ideally located for visits to the Tower and Greenwich. Friendly welcome on arrival and complimentary beer, milk and water in the fridge. The bathroom was immaculate !!!!! There is a restaurant and bar on site and some interesting bars near by .

The room was excellent; spacious and quiet, with good facilities which overall allowed for a pleasant one-night stay. We had sandwiches off the lunch menu which were very nice, and breakfast the following morning in our room was good (but could have done with an extra sausage!) Staff were happy and professional, well situated hotel right by the Tower of...

Dear U4686IWashleyl, I am sorry to read that your recent visit to our site was somewhat underwhelming, I am particularly disappointed to hear that on organising you a cab you found you would have been cheaper in a black cab, I will certainly discuss this with the front desk. I would also like to note that the breakfast service is...

My boyfriend and I had a couple of meals at this hotel, although we were staying elsewhere. It had a nice atmosphere and the food is generally pretty good. However, the service is a bit hit and miss in the pub section, but better in the restaurant. The food tends to come out of the kitchen on the cold side,...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
