For £54 / night including breakfast in London (after a previous bad experience at another hotel), we where not holding much hope. As it was for just an overnight stay, we where prepared to "rough it" and put up. The hotel is in walking distance from King's Cross station. We arrived around 1.30pm (check in was from 2pm) reception was...

Budget hotel near St Pancras Station . Room was clean and there was plenty of hot water . Handy internet device in room too. Basic breakfast was available but it was too busy, so we went to the the local pub down the road which served an excellent cooked breakfast . Hotel is really close to the underground and a...

We were at Arriva Hotel just for one night, the room was small but absolutely clean with all the necessary staff. In the morning the breakfast (we had it include on the price) was amazing, a kind of buffet with a lot of healthy choices. We left the hotel so happy, the only 'bad' thing that we find was he...

The hotel Room was absolutely unlivable, it had not been cleaned. There were curly black hairs on the pillows, dust in the corners. The curtains were ripped and there was a musty moldy smell in the room. I travel often and I have never been so disgusted with a hotel room. Upon asking the merchant for a refund they denied...

Stayed here for a weekend recently. Reasonably priced for London but small, tired and in need of some basic maintenance. Friendly helpfull staff. The worse part was that the restaurant is too small for the number of guests. We true three times on the first morning before we could find a table to sit at, we gave up on the...

This hotel is extremely bad and should be avoided. Its good location is what tricked us into booking here, unfortunately the location is the only thing positive which can be said about this hotel. The rooms have a serious heating problem. Even though the radiators are off, it still gets heated extremely due to heating pipes which go through the...

Hotel is 10 minute walk from St pancras/K Cross stations which is convenient for public transport to many places. Clean and comfortable room and continental breakfast was nice. Friendly staff and can say nothing negative about the stay.

Grotty, tiny and falling to bits. Wifi was hopeless. Walls paper thin. But hey it is 2 star, 90 quid a night and close to the Eurostar at St Pancras. You get what you pay for. More to spend on Eating Like Kings.

Just the one night here. The location is fine. 400 yards to Kings Cross transport hub. If you are after a cheap no frills room with a half-decent bed and shower this is worth considering. If you are after a swish hotel with all the extras look elsewhere. I was just after a bed that I could fall into after...

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
