The worst hotel I have ever stayed in. Small, cramped room with tired furniture, uncomfortable beds and pillows hard as stone. Everything feels dirty. Walls made of cardboard, you can hear every step above, flushing toilet and conversations of your neighbours. Unfriendly staff and a scary breakfast lady in a dark, crowded basement space supposed to be breakfast room serving...

First time stayed here, chosen because it's a 5 minute walk from Kings Cross Station. Check in 2pm but got there 11am and was able to leave luggage. Staff very helpful with directions. Walked into town, went to Show, had meal, taxi back, checked in 7pm. room was basic but had everything I needed. Comfy bed so slept well. Continental...

We needed somewhere local to Kings Cross station so I chose this hotel as it was a good location. However, the room was tiny, there was no shelf space for storing bathroom essentials so everything had to go in the wardrobe. I tried to refill a kettle but the sink wasn't big enough to fit the kettle so I thought...

Very close to King's Cross, St Pancras and Euston, this hotel is very convenient for Sadler's Wells, British Library, British Museum and a good location for walking around Camden etc. Clean room, a bit dark thanks to some light bulbs not working, and very noisy by the road, but comfortable nevertheless. Wifi is rather dodgy and breakfast monotonous and relatively...

Stayed for 2 night for a business trip. Great location close to kings cross. Reception staff friendly. Room basic, but very clean. Bed comfy with clean mattress protector on, bathroom spotless with clean new towels. shower gel and shampoo provided and replaced on second day. breakfast only £3.50 for cereal, juice, toast, ham and cheese - so no complaints there....

Appalling; dirty, shabby, broken furniture, unhygienic bedding. Staff unwilling / unable to do anything about it. Seriously, the worst experience and I recommend that anybody reading this should book a different hotel.

I booked this hotel as wanted to be near Camden but it was still 30 mins walk from Camden lock, I read reviews after I booked and felt worried but couldn't cancel without having to pay. I can't say it was awful or terrible as nothing awful happened but the rooms are as basic as you could get, white walls...

We stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. Both nights were extremely noisy and uncomfortable. Not only we heard people watching tv, showering or whatsoever; the fridge and heating were the ones which kept us from sleeping. It was like sleeping on an active building construction site. Also the fridge was placed directly against the bed because of lack of...

Staying in Clerkenwell

Neighbourhood Profile
Clerkenwell
Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site of an ancient meat market which remains in operation today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough time wondering through the area's maze of streets and you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky models passing between Clerkenwell's handful of fashion houses. Far outnumbering the models are craftspeople and designers, many of them are more than happy to welcome visitors into their studios and showrooms.
