I was going to London with a friend to visit the British Museum and I wanted a cheap hotel that was close to the museum and shops. The staff were very friendly and helpful, the room was clean, there was a good choice for breakfast....More

The raves from other travelers are completely warranted. The rooms are small but the fittings are modern and the bed was excellent. The twin brothers who own/run the hotel -- who have been in the hotel business for 37 years -- are considerate, professional and...More
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and
some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.

We stayed in early July and the weather was fine. But it's hard to predict what it will be like for you. The rooms that we had both had ceiling fans and the windows did open. You may wish to ask for a room in the back of the hotel to minimize any street noises in the event that you open your window. Also, I'd suggest a room that is on one of the lower floors because they do not have elevators. As for safety during the evening, we were a family of 4 with a 17 yr old boy and 13 yr old girl. We felt very safe in the neighborhood. It is in a nice residential part of town so there were people going about their daily business quite a bit. Nice street and well lit at night time. Extremely easy public transportation right outside the door and/or taxis were easily accessible.
