Stayed here for 3 nights and it was everything I needed it to be ! I was visiting friends living in London but in two different directions so I wanted to be located in central London . Blades was perfect for arriving from Gatwick on Gatwick express and for a female travelling alone . The staff were friendly at all...

Stayed here for 2 nights whilst visiting London. The location is great just 5 minutes wlk from the railway station and tube. The hotel itself has more the feel of a friendly B & B as it's in an old victorian house. So there are no lifts but the staff offered to take our lugage upstairs if we wanted. Every...

On arrival I was unexpectedly upgraded from a single to a triple room at no extra cost. All amenities were there (tea, coffee, hairdryer). Plenty of hot water in the shower which was clean and powerful. Bed was very comfortable indeed - I don't normally sleep well in hotels but slept very well here. Breakfast is simple continental style but...

I stayed here after a recommendation from a friend and was not disappointed. We arrived after a very early flight and our room was ready. Only 2 of us but we had been upgraded to a triple room! Rooms are small but as it's a converted house. .. what do you expect? Ours was very clean and the beds were...

As many others have said, a good value hotel, very close to Pimlico tube and the bus up towards Trafalgar Square and beyond. A pleasant, welcoming and comfortable hotel. I was upgraded to a larger room on arrival, which was a unexpected bonus and I enjoyed the extra space. Plesant interior and furnishings, friendly, helpful staff. Attractive breakfast room and...

The Blades is the perfect place if you don't like standardised hotel chains. Very near Victoria Station (perfect if you get to London by Gatwick Express) and Pimlico, in a quiet and beautiful surrounding, the hotel is a very traditional, simple (but with very good taste) and cosy place to stay. The staff is very friendly and helpful, breakfast (included)...

A great value place to stay within easy walk of Victoria and Westminster. Staff friendly and more accommodating than value chain hotels. Great continental breakfast. Small comfortable and clean rooms. Will visit again.

Lovely experience there. Lovely warm, friendly and helpful staff. Not far from subway. Lovely breakfast room, with music, plenty of choice of things to eat. Bright and cheerful which leads to a great start of the day. Me and my sister enjoyed our stay immensely.

Small room for one, but that was all I needed. Nice clean bathroom with modern shower. Love the included breakfast too. Maybe the breakfast could open slightly earlier. a 7.30am start is a bit late when I need to eat breakfast and then travel to get to the office.

A little cosy hotel in the heart of London. Everything inside a room for two people (standard) are very tiny but convenient enough. I recommend to book a room on the ground floor with a courtyard view: silence is guaranteed. The rooms are clean. Breakfast is plentiful and delicious. A number of restaurants and taverns to suit every taste are...

Staying in Pimlico

Neighbourhood Profile
Pimlico
Time spent in Pimlico is a slower-paced affair than most other Central London neighbourhoods. This largely residential area orderly arranged beside the Thames, is a treasure trove of quaint pubs, subtle architectural charms and local boutiques. Here, art lovers thrill at the chance to visit the world class Tate Britain gallery for its collection of British art from the 1500s to the present. For peace and quiet and some downtime spent along the Thames, Pimlico is highly recommended.
