They we're always helpful and courteous. I really wanted a bath in my room and had communicated this. We arrived early evening on a Saturday. You walk into a courtyard and...

Unfortunately I only had one night in London however this Groovy Hotel was a great place to stay. Centrally located with stunning rooms, nice bar and a very nice breakfast. If your like me and don't like the big chains I would definitely recommend you try it out.

A perfect retreat after a hectic day in London. I felt as if my room had been designed by a traveler for travelers: very comfy bed and soft linens; ample desk and closet space; spacious shower with separate bath; always immaculate, blissfully quiet. It's one of the few London hotels to give exact information on room size, which I appreciated...

We really enjoyed our stay in this lovely hotel. It is located very well, you may walk to see Big Ben, st.Pauls Cathedral etc. Subway is also nearby (Temple station). Service was fantastic, breakfast was pretty good and the rooms are quite normal size, not too small but could be a little bit bigger.

We were welcomed into our room with a hand written card for said husband and some chocolates. The room... well...it was more of a suite. ENORMOUS...

An excellent place to stay in the west end of London. Fantastic staff and fabulous service. We have stayed there before. This time we booked a superior king room and on check in we were upgraded to a master suite. This was an extra surprise gift for my girlfriend for her birthday.

This is the 5th year I've stayed at the Apex Temple Court for a London theatre break. I stay in a standard twin and wait until there is a special rate (£135 for two including breakfast). The hotel is a short bus ride from most of the theatres. It is very clean with spacious rooms, and a huge bathroom with...

Visited with daughter to celebrate 18th birthday. We were both thrilled with the room and facilities. Comfortable nights sleep and the choice of nespresso coffee or instant suited both of us. Complimentary chocolates & celebration note was a lovely thought when we arrived back the first night. Enjoyed guest lounge on both mornings for continental breakfast good choice of drinks...

As I was leaving, I asked for directions to get to Gatwick. The receptionist advised me to take the London Express instead of paying a large cab fee. He happened to be walking out at the time, so we walked with me and pointed me in the direction to catch the train. I went the wrong way and he jumped...

Staying in City of London

Neighbourhood Profile
City of London
From its ancient past as a Roman trading outpost to its 21st century status as the wealthiest square mile in the world, the financial district known simply as “The City” is one of London's most historic and fascinating neighbourhoods. Here high rise office towers such as Norman Foster’s Gherkin mingle with Roman ruins and architectural marvels from virtually every era in between, including Christopher Wren's glorious St.Paul's Cathedral, and John Soane's dauntingly classicist Bank of England. This neighbourhood is also home to some of the finest restaurants and plushest hotels in Europe, in addition to an assortment of of watering holes, upscale shops, and Tube stations. During the week, the City is abuzz with white collar workers going about their business; the weekend sees this area turn into a quiet haven for sightseers.
