Owing to its proximity to Smithfield Market – the site
of an ancient meat market which remains in operation
today – Clerkenwell boasts a plethora of globally
renowned restaurants, fabulous local eateries, and
some of London's favorite pubs. This isn't merely a
focal point for all things foodie though. Spend enough
time wondering through the area's maze of streets and
you might become accustomed to the litany of slinky

Very satisfied about my stay. The room is big enough, the bathroom very little but it actually doesn't matter. Just one thing I didn't like: free wi fi available only 30 minutes. I don't remind staying the last years in any hotel without free Wi Fi .....

About 10 minute walk from Kings Cross, rooms are compact and basic, and in need of some updating. You will not find a phone or a hair dryer, but I am sure reception will try to assist. Big thank you to Kerry at breakfast who made our stay so enjoyable, fighting against the odds t

Having read the reviews I was expecting the worst from this particular hotel. Someone else booked this hotel for me and it's not one I necessarily would have chosen. On the positive side, the staff were polite and friendly if essentially overworked. The room was clean enough. Bre

When i make the reservation they took the money from the card but after a week they put it back. Is normal? I try to contact but noone was answer.
Some hotels do this. It's a security bond to secure your booking and cover if you do any damage or don't show up. When you arrive you can pay buy a different method or card and if everything is fine when you leave you get the money back. I'm sure your reservation is in place but my guess is you have just reserved and not paid in advance.

What’s the area like to walk in at night? Heading here in a couple of weeks and will be doing a lot of late night walking. Wanting to know if this is safe or not
It’s totally fine! Our flight was delayed and so it was after 11.30pm when we landed so it was after 2am by the time our bus got us to kings cross where we were staying. We walked from St. Pancras station to the Travelodge Royal Scot between 2.30am-3am on a Friday night/Saturday morning. There was no one hanging around and no signs of any danger at all. Seems to be full of hotels and well lit. We walked around there all weekend and never felt in any way that it wasn’t safe. We even walked back to the station at 5am on the day of our return.

Hi Fraser Did you have breakfast ? What were the choices ? Value for money ? Bobby
During my stay in June, I ate breakfast 4 or 5 times, and I felt the value was good. When I stayed there, the choices were assorted breads and cereals, and a buffet of scrambled eggs, sausages, bacon, hash browns and a kettle of beans(I'm uncertain if the choices change seasonally). Also, coffee, teas, juices, etc were available. I can't say for certain if it was an "all-you-can-eat" buffet, but I didn't get a second glance when one morning I was particularly hungry and went back for a second plate.
