I stayed at this property during a multi-day business trip. The property was clean, the front desk staff was helpful and friendly, and the rooms were clean with sufficient amenities (toiletries, towels, iron, etc.). There is a bar in the lobby that is full service, although the kitchen for mains closes at 10:30 - later than many of the restaurants and pubs in the area. Since I just arrived from my overseas flight and got to the hotel after 10pm, there was unfortunately little options on food. The bed was comfortable, but a little on the soft side. The property is located 2 min. walk from Aldgate tube station and 5-6 minutes walk from Tower Hill tube. There are a number of restaurants and pubs within a 5-10 minute walk. The nits: 1) For some reason, when running the water in the bathroom sink, there was a terrible odor. It went away when the water was off but made me wonder if I was brushing my teeth with sewage water. 2) There is not a proper closet, so after ironing and hanging my suit, the pants did not have enough space over the luggage rack to properly hang 3) There were over 50 channels on the TV, but not a single US news channel. I've been to hotels around the world and this was one of the only places that I experienced this - odd for a US hotel chain. 4) Breakfast was included, but not very good. The eggs were like soup - barely cooked long enough for them to look like eggs, the bacon was not crispy, and omelettes were an extra GBP 8. 5) Sound travels - although I was at the end of the hall, I could hear hallway noise very clearly. Overall it was a decent stay. It was convenient to my meeting locations, but was missing some of the things I would expect when staying at a hotel for business.…
We stayed 3 nights Reception - friendly and efficient . Room was ready an hour early Good location - near Tower of London. Good bus / tube location Room - lovely , spacious , quiet , great shower Great tv Comfy bed - would really have expected king size as standard in this type of hotel Our view was not good either Excellent shower Towels - 1 x bathsheet each & 1 x hand towel I would have liked a medium for hair Good hairdryer Good tea & coffee . Biscuits only there on first day. Breakfast - excellent quality . All staff members friendly and polite. I saw a chef going out of his way to make a little boy something not on the menu . Bar - relaxing and comfortable. Expensive like you’d expect . In the lift it says Roofbar but it’s not open yet . All in all excellent stay - would book again.…
Canopy by Hilton, London, is a simply amazing hotel! To start with, the outside design is really impressive. Inside it’s equally great with its minimal décor. Our rooms were on the 9th floor, clean, spacious with a great view to the skyscrapers and a Nespresso machine. The bathroom was just as good with very nice amenities. The best asset of the hotel however is the staff! A huge thank you to the hotel staff which was very friendly and professional from day 1 right through to check-out. Special thanks to Georgia who always served us with a smile, Lidia from Spain, Benito and Silvio, and of course Anne for her wonderful message and the chocolates! I should also mention that I really liked the staff uniforms. I hope you are all well and we’ll see each other for sure! Love and regards, Paul Logothetis (rooms 919-921)…
Decor is warm and cozy. Property was nice and clean. Staff are very welcoming and friendly! In particular Loni and Francesco were gems and always very helpful! The location isn’t central to sightseeing and it’s usually a 20 minute ride away even though it’s only 3-5 miles away. Aldre
My Son booked us into this hotel as a gift for our wedding anniversary. Not having stayed here before we looked up the reviews and all seemed good. However the reviews do not do it justice. It is even better than that. We could not fault anything about this hotel on this trip and would highly recommend it to anyone visiting this part of London. Great location, first class staff, lovely rooms, great breakfast, nice lounge area for drinks. Absolutely nothing at all not to like. We were looked after very well as it was our anniversary with some very nice things sorted by the hotel welcome enthusiast, Lidia Camacho. Overall a great experience and we will definitely be staying here again.
It is all getting a bit boring now! I'd love to read some dirt on this place, some bad reviews because nobody is really interested in reading endless glowing reviews about how good this was, or how wonderful that was, blah, blah, blah! So, here goes. (Clears throat and straightens tie...) .This is probably one of the best hotels I have stayed in, certainly in London. There I said it! A truly stunning modern, contemporary hotel that has literally thought of everything. Conceptually, a design concept "wet-dream" that has been meticulously delivered; from the choices made regarding equipment, facilities and materials used, to the staff chosen to be ambassadors for this place. It is truly staggering! We chose this property for my wife's 60 birthday weekend and had a great time. Thank you all. If you are reading this as a prospective visitor, I would not hesitate to book.…
I loved my stay at the Canopy. I had messed up my reservation but once I informed the front desk they took care of everything (and were very pleasant while doing so.) My room was very modern and fresh. The roof top bar had great views and great service. I told my bartender what kind of drink I like and he came up with a special concoction just for me. I would definitely come back and would recommend to all my freinds.
Canopy by Hilton in London is such a beautiful hotel with nice service. I was “guest of the day” when I arrived as well! It is also in a very convenient location in the city. Will be sure to stay here again when I go back to London next.
This was our second stay here and the Canopy has become my go to hotel on our London trips. The hotel is modern and the service from the staff is both friendly and polite. The rooms are clean, well equipped and a nice size as well as comfortable. The breakfast is lovely with plenty of choice. A short walk from Tower Hill or Aldgate tube make it easy to get to. Definitely a must stay.
What a wonderful stay myself and my boyfriend had for my birthday last weekend (21st January). On arrival we were given an upgrade which was so kind. When we got to our room we had a great the view of the gherkin. The staff had also left a cake made from towels, a chocolate cake and a small bottle of Prosecco again so kind and thoughtful and a lovely touch. The hotel is in a great location a one minute walk to Aldgate station and a short walk away from tower bridge. The beds are super comfortable and the pillows are great you literally sink into them. The hotel has water fountains and ice available in the corridors when ever it’s needed. All in all it was a wonderful stay and we can’t thank the hotel enough for making our stay so special Thankyou.
