I stayed here for three nights in November 2013. This is a fantastic boutique hotel nestled in a quiet side street (Park Place) near St. James Palace, the Ritz Hotel, Pall Mall, etc. It's about a three or four block walk to Green Park tube station, so it is very conveniently located. The bellmen kindly permitted me to borrow a...

This is my favorite London Hotel and has been since the 1970's. we have both had quite a lot of change ( for the better) over the years. I'm certain anyone who stays here will decide this is their favorite as well. The neighborhood is lovely. Boutique, discreet and so plummily clubby!!

Great service from the moment we arrived to the moment we left. Made to feel as if we were their only guest even though they were full. Fabulous staff throughout. Super comfy beds. Well furnished comfortable rooms. Bear in mind the location is just off Piccadilly so very convenient for lunch at Fortnums. Excellent English spoken by all staff. Valet...

Stayed at the St. James in October for a few nights. Our first room was very small and although it had a large balcony it was next to a very large air con unit and the noise filtered in to the room. We were given a room on the 6th floor and it was much better, still small but far...

Recently checked my parents into the St James for a weekend break. We all adored it, it has made a lasting impression, and we can't wait to go back! The staff are the best I've ever encountered in a hotel, my parents were extremely well looked after, and made them feel special. Although in central London, it was situated in...

We stayed here one week and loved it. The room is tiny by American standards, but beautifully decorated and well appointed. Staff is very attentive and cleans the room every time we leave! Bed is comfy, nice pillows and comforter. Room is interior and quiet, and hotel is situated on quiet street. Restaurant , bar and lounge are top notch,...

I was recently treated by a friend to afternoon tea at the hotel for my birthday. The location is very convenient, being a stones throw from Piccadilly. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the ambience was nice, if not a little too quiet, but that really is a minor thing. The food itself was just ok, I've had...

If you are looking for a hotel in a centric location, but at the same time noiseless, this is your hotel. The St. James is a small hotel next to the Ritz and Regent Street. The views of it are quite bad. The restaurant is very good, however, the breakfast (specially the Continental) is very poor. Good service and nice...

After good experiences at the Athenaeum Piccadilly and a poor one at Sheraton Park Lane, we went a little up-market for a one-night stay at the St James Hotel and Club. The welcome and lunch in the Michelin restaurant was superb and we could not fault the service in any of the public rooms. Evening cocktails could not have been...

Even before we arrived at the St. James, the Concierge, and lovely assistants, helped us smooth out our travel plans for a forever memorable first day in London. We acquired last minute tickets to Highclere Castle (where Downton Abbey is filmed). The Concierge suggested our driver, also an expert guide, pick us up at Heathrow, then drive us directly to...

Staying in St. James's

Neighbourhood Profile
St. James's
Perennially fashionable since the days of Henry VIII, the aristocratic “Clubland” of St James's is a premier destination for high end craft and bespoke design. Here you’ll lose count of the Royal Warrants (which indicate that the Royal Family patronizes the establishment) seen in shop front windows, even during a short stroll to bordering Green Park or St James’s Park. With the brightly lit and constantly buzzing junction of Piccadilly Circus at its northeast corner and none of Central London too far away, this is an surprisingly central and accessible part of town, especially given its prosperous demeanor.
