It’s a perfect location. It’s central but also secluded and quiet. The rooms are nicely decorated in a discreet if slightly bland way. The bed was comfortable and everything was gleaming and clean. The hotel is also host to an expensive but stunningly good and Michelin starred restaurant. But there was a conspicuous absence of staff when we stayed there; we met just the receptionist and there was no suggestion that anyone could help us with our luggage. On Sunday, both the bar and the bistro were closed. On Sunday night, we returned to the hotel around 10.30 to discover the front door was locked and we were asked to phone to request entrance. It’s a pleasant place and very convenient if you want to visit central London. But we found it strangely without character and also strangely without the usual amenities we would expect from a five star hotel.

Made to feel very welcome after our last stay in October 2020 with a lovely upgrade. The usual high standards of service and quality of rooms have always been maintained making this a wonderful experience in the heart of London yet tucked away in a quite corner of St James. The bar is one of my London favourites, beautifully refurbished recently with a special clubby feel.

Such a gorgeous hotel, all the staff were so kind and polite no request was too much trouble and they went above and beyond to make our anniversary stay exceptional. The hotel furnishings were beautiful, everything is very clean and the location of the hotel is excellent for shopping or to visit Buckingham Palace. It’s also tucked away on Park Place so really quiet and no road noise. I was lucky enough to enjoy the spa and cannot recommended Maria enough, amazing treatments and was so kind and happily listened as I chatted away. Without a doubt my husband and I will be looking to stay here again. Perfect little get away from the stresses of life.

This is a beautiful boutique hotel in a lovely quiet location yet in the heart of St James. We had a fabulous stay. Our suite was classy and comfortable. We were in London for our wedding at the Old Marylebone Town Hall, and the manager Gonzalo and the receptionists couldn’t do enough to make our stay super-special, supported by very professional well trained staff. We invited our family to a nine course taster lunch prepared by William Drabble, who even found five minutes to pop out to congratulate us. The food was absolutely first class with amazing flavour combinations and stunning to look at too. A perfect 48 hours. Thank you all so much.

The hotel is well located, in a very quiet street. St James Park is a 5 minutes walk. Picadilly is at 10 minutes. The external architecture is lovely. My room was very disappointing: tiny, with a noisy air conditioning and a closed non transparent window. Décoration is so-so. Breakfast quality is very disappointing. Closer to a low key 4 stars. Avoid…
