My wife and I have stayed in many three star hotels , and have never met such well trained, and pleasant staff , the room was very clean, and the breakfast more than ample.. We were put off on arrival by the overpowering smell of fish. The room was on the small side even for a London hotel eg there was no place to store a suitcase. Used restaurant for dinner on first night. Two waiters were constantly complaining about being too busy, turning people away and refusing to provide room service howevere there...

We used the Bedford Hotel as a base for our trip to see Billy Elliot ( which was amazing). The room was surprisingly big compared to other hotels we have stayed in. It was clean and very comfortable. The breakfast was excellent with a wide choice and served hot. The restaurant overlooked the little garden which was lovely. The hotel...

My room was clean, quiet considering it was facing onto a major street, and reasonably sized. The hotel overall is quiet, the front desk service is efficient, and the breakfast is excellent -- a full English buffet with bacon, sausages, two types of eggs, baked beans, stewed tomatoes, toast, tea and coffee, juice. There is also a continental option. The breakfast...

I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights. This hotel is located near Imperial College and it is in walking distance from most of the attractions in London. The price/night is very reasonable for such a location. The hotel was clean and comfortable but very simple. The breakfast was amazing and I really enjoyed it. The service was hardly average....

The Hotel is very well located, small clean simple rooms so don't bring too much luggage! Bathrooms are small also, but everything worked. Staff on Reception were good, however staff at Breakfast gave the impressing of not being very happy in their Jobs. Breakfast was cold on the 3 mornings, Tea/coffee served from flasks, was not great. Felt the whole...

Stayed at this hotel for one night. We had an executive twin room which was very clean and spacious. The breakfast was very good, as much as you could eat and a great variety. Room at the front was a bit noisy according to my friend. This did not bother me as I always carry ear plugs with me when...

Staying in Bloomsbury

Neighbourhood Profile
Bloomsbury
Snuggly nestled within Central London is academic and leafy Bloomsbury, an area that boasts walking distance access to many of London's most popular attractions. It is also home to some of Britain's most celebrated museums, including the must-see British Museum. Despite an understandable popularity with students, tourists and day trippers, vast sections of Bloomsbury retain a quiet, residential feel year round and throughout the week.

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
At the Bedford Hotel, peace and quiet is our priority. With the elegant bustle of Bloomsbury on every side, that might sound like an impossible task. Covent Garden and the West End are just a short walk away, and the British Museum is on our doorstep. But at the Bedford, we can promise you a good night's sleep too. How do we do it? Well, many of the rooms overlook our picturesque private garden. The Bedford is small and intimate, offering a warm welcome with a personal touch. And it's a great place to relax with company too, with a charming guest lounge and laid back café occupying the ground floor. Meanwhile, the Bedford Garden restaurant serves home-made British specialities, with a modern twist, overlooking our secret garden. We're able to offer a little corner of traditional English tranquility, here, in a bustling, international city. It's made us a firm favourite with returning guests. ... more   less
